dutchOn Tuesday, May 27, 2014, Their Majesties King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima of the Netherlands continued their two-day visit to Lower Saxony and North Rhine-Westphalia in Germany.

This morning Their Majesties visited the Centre for Netherlands Studies (CNS) at the Westfälische Wilhelms-Universität Münster (University of Münster), toured the research institute Fraunhofer Institute for Material Flow and Logistics in Dortmund, visited the Dutch-German creative center, MMID, in Essen, toured the Museum Schloss Moyland in Bedburg-Hau, and much more.

On Tuesday, May 27, 2014, Their Majesties King Juan Carlos I and Queen Sofia of Spain presided over the XXXI Edición de los Premios Internacionales de Periodismo ‘Rey de España’ and the X Edición del Premio ‘Don Quijote’ de Periodismo (King of Spain International Journalism Prizes and the Don Quixote Journalism Prize) held at the Casa del Lector in Madrid.

Their Majesties also attended the inauguration of the “…75th anniversary exposition recounting Agencia EFE’s development in the context of Spanish history…” according to Fox News Latino.

MathildeOn Tuesday, May 27, 2014, Her Majesty Queen Mathilde of Belgium arrived at the Palais des Beaux-Arts (aka Bozar) in Brussels to view the exhibition, As Sweet as it Gets.

The exhibition displays “…paintings, drawings and films [by Belgian artist], Mr. Michaël Borremans…” according to the Belgian royal court.

Her Imperial Highness Princess Noriko of Takamado Set to Marry This Fall. (VIDEOS)





On Tuesday, May 27, 2014, the Imperial Household Agency, with the blessing of His Imperial Majesty Emperor Akihito of Japan, announced the engagement of Her Imperial Highness Princess Noriko of Takamado to Mr. Kunimaro Senge.

Mr. Senge, 40, is the eldest son of the Chief Priest of the Izumo Grand Shrine. The wedding will take place in the Fall of 2014.

On Monday, May 26, 2014, Their Majesties King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima of the Netherlands began their two-day visit to Lower Saxony and North Rhine-Westphalia in Germany.

According to RVD, the purpose of the royal visit is to “…promote mutual trade relations and cooperation in areas such as renewable energy, the creative industries, innovation, employment and education.”

The day began with a visit to the EWE Research Institute for Sustainable Energy at the University of Oldenburg where Their Majesties attended the opening of the Energy Seminar.

Thereafter, Their Majesties visited the Mariko company in Leer, and visited the Climate Center Emsland for Sustainable Mobility in Werlte, Germany.

albertdemonacoOn Thursday, May 22, 2014, His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco attended the Peace One Day Monaco Gala — which aims to raise awareness of the Peace One Day campaign in the Democratic Republic of Congo and the Great Lakes Region of Africa for Peace Day on September 21 — held at the Salle des Étoiles in Monte-Carlo.

The sovereign prince is patron of the Peace One Day campaign.
