On May 8, 2014, His Majesty King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands visited the project, Super COOL! in Almere.
According to RVD, the project is for individuals with “…visual and/or intellectual disabilities in which they along with volunteers go skating and rollerblading together…”
On Wednesday, May 7, 2014, Her Serene Highness Princess Charlene of Monaco arrived at the Galerie Adriano Ribolzi in Monte-Carlo, Monaco, to view the exhibition, Mythes et Rites.
The exhibition displays the best of African art according to the Palais Princier.
On Wednesday, May 7, 2014, His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco arrived at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Dubai to attend the 6th Annual Zayed International Prize.
During yesterday’s ceremony the sovereign prince was presented with the Global Leadership in Environment and Sustainable Development Award for his “…environmental work carried out by his foundation (Fondation Prince Albert II de Monaco)…” according to the newspaper, Gulf Times.
On Thursday, May 8, 2014, His Majesty King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands arrived in Stavoren to officially open the second Johan Frisosluis (Johan Friso lock).
According to RVD, the construction of the lock is “…one of the last major projects of the Friese Merenproject (Frisian Lakes Project).”
On May 7, 2014, Her Majesty Queen Silvia of Sweden visited the Lilla Akademien in Stockholm.
According to the official website for Lilla Akademien the school:
“…[specializes] in classical music. Housed in a historic building in the centre of the city, it was founded in 1994 by a group of music teachers under the leadership of Nina Balabina.
The aim of the Lilla Akademien is to give its pupils a solid musical foundation, whether or not they choose to become professional musicians. On May 7, 2014, His Majesty King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands officially opened the Amaliahal event hall at the Nationaal Hippisch Centrum (National Equestrian Center) in Ermelo.
According to RVD, the new event hall:
“…consists of several stables, offices, a training room, bed room, and an events arena. This new Amaliahal offers space for both national and international events.”
On Wednesday, May 7, 2014, His Majesty King Philippe of Belgium attended a meeting at the Palais Royal with the chairman and governors from the Banque Centrale Européenne.
