A New Portrait of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II is Revealed. (VIDEO)

On Sunday, April 20, 2014, a new photo portrait of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II was released.

According to the Associated Press, the image, shot by famed photographer Mr. David Bailey, was taken to:

“…mark Her Majesty’s 88th birthday on April 21, 2014. The photograph was taken at Buckingham Palace in March and was commissioned on behalf of the British Government’s GREAT Britain campaign.

The image will be used in activity to support the GREAT campaign, which aims to generate jobs and growth through highlighting internationally Britain as a world-class destination for trade, tourism, investment and education.”

QMII and PHOn the morning of Friday, April 18, 2014, Her Majesty Queen Margrethe II and His Royal Highness Prince Henrik of Denmark accompanied by His Royal Highness Prince Joachim of Denmark commemorated the 150th anniversary of the Battle of Dybbøl in Dybbøl, South Jutland, Denmark.

TRHs The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge Visit Sydney, Australia. (VIDEOS)



On Friday, April 18, 2014, Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge continued their visit to Sydney, Australia.

This morning the royal couple visited the Royal Easter Show, met with patients and their families at the Bear Cottage Children’s Hospice, and visited Manly Beach where they “…watched a surf lifesaving competition and met volunteers…” according to Clarence House.

On Thursday, April 17, 2014, Their Imperial Majesties Emperor Akihito and Empress Michiko of Japan accompanied by His Imperial Highness Crown Prince Naruhito of Japan, Their Imperial Highnesses Prince Akishino and Princess Kiko of Japan, Her Imperial Highness Princess Mako of Japan, and Her Imperial Highness Princess Kako of Japan attended the traditional Spring garden party held at Akasaka Palace in Tokyo.
