On Wednesday, March 19, 2014, Her Royal Highness The Countess of Wessex opened the new Heart Center at Ipswich Hospital in Ipswich, Suffolk.

The lovely countess also visited the Genesis Orwell Mencap as well as Headway Ipswich “…where she saw firsthand the work done to help people with brain injuries…” according to the newspaper, Ipswich Star.

HM Queen Rania of Jordan Visits the SOS Children’s Village. (VIDEO)

On March 19, 2014, Her Majesty Queen Rania of Jordan visited the SOS Children’s Village in Irbid.  According to the Jordan Times, the purpose of the visit was to:

“…celebrate Mother’s Day with the facility’s mothers and children.  The Queen spoke with the mothers and aunts about the roles that they play in bringing up the children, while they talked about the tenderness and affection they give to the children which provides them with a sense of security.  They also shared with Queen Rania stories of their bonding with the children that in turn helps in creating a sense of family unity…”

Their Imperial Majesties Emperor Akihito and Empress Michiko of Japan Attend a Farewell Ceremony with the President of Vietnam. (VIDEO)

On the evening of Wednesday, March 19, 2014, Their Imperial Majesties Emperor Akihito and Empress Michiko of Japan arrived at Akasaka Palace in Tokyo to “…attend a farewell ceremony…” with the President of Vietnam, Mr. Truong Tan Sang, and First Lady Mai Thi Hanh according to Reuters.

TRHs The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall Visit Bateman’s in East Sussex.

CamillaCharlesOn Wednesday, March 19, 2014, Their Royal Highnesses The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall arrived in Burwash, East Sussex, to visit Bateman’s, the former home of legendary writer and poet, Mr. Rudyard Kipling.

According to the official website for the National Trust UK, Bateman’s is:

…surrounded by the wooded landscape of the Sussex Weald, this 17th-century house, with mullioned windows and oak beams, provided a much needed sanctuary to this world-famous writer.

The rooms, described by him as ‘untouched and unfaked’, remain much as he left them, with oriental rugs and artifacts reflecting his strong association with the East…”
