On Friday, March 7, 2014, His Majesty King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands officially opened the Sportcomplex Koning Willem-Alexander in Hoofddorp.
According to RVD, the new Sportcomplex:
“…offers space for two competition pools, a recreational pool, a sports hall and a turn center. The complex is designed for both amateur and professional athletes. Thus, the accommodation is specifically designed for sports gymnastics, rhythmic gymnastics, synchronized swimming and racing.
The facilities offer talented young athletes and potential athletes opportunities to optimally prepare national sporting events. By the supply and design of the sports can also serve as a venue for national championships.”
