On Thursday, February 27, 2014, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II presented The Queen’s Anniversary Prizes for Higher and Further Education to “…recipients, including Leicester University, for its work that led to the discovery of the remains of King Richard III and Bristol University for its revolutionary work in obstetrics research…” according to the British royal court.
After the presentation of the prizes Her Majesty and His Royal Highness The Duke of Edinburgh hosted a reception at Buckingham Palace.
On Wednesday, February 26, 2014, Her Royal Highness The Princess Royal opened the “…new £83 million BAE Systems munitions factory…” in South Cheshire.

On Wednesday, February 26, 2014, Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cornwall visited the HMS Illustrious at H.M. Naval Base in Portsmouth.
As Commodore-in-Chief of Royal Naval Medical Services, during today’s visit the lovely duchess met with the ship’s crew and viewed “…view[ed] a demonstration by the Ship’s medical team…” according to Clarence House.
