On March 20, 2013, His Royal Highness The Duke of Edinburgh was at the London Zoo to officially open Tiger Territory. The great duke is patron of the Zoological Society of London.
According to the newspaper, The Standard:
“The Tiger Territory enclosure offers elevated platforms and trees to encourage the tigers to climb — with their food being hung from a 20-foot pole. It also gives them a perfect overview of Regent’s Park…”
On March 20, 2013, Her Royal Highness Princess Maxima of the Netherlands visited Nieuwe Kerk in Amsterdam. At this time it is unknown as to why she visited the lovely church. Perhaps it may have something to do with His Royal Highness Prince Willem-Alexander of Oranje’s upcoming inauguration/investiture on April 30, 2013.
Tomorrow, His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco will participate in the opening of the 7th Internationales Monaco et la Méditerranée conference held at the Musée Océanographique de Monaco. The theme of this year’s conference is, La Puissance du Feu: Du Mythe de Prométhée aux Défis Futurs en Méditerranée.
The sovereign prince is scheduled to give a speech during tomorrow’s event as well as the Managing Director of the Institut Océanographique Fondation Albert I, Mr. Robert Calcagno, and the Director-General of UNESCO, Ms. Irina Bokova. During the conference there will be several roundtable discussions focusing on “…climate change and the natural hazards in Mediterranean and the future of energy…”
And, finally, as you may know by now Her Serene Highness Princess Charlene of Monaco will attend Ladies Lunch Monte-Carlo.
On March 20, 2013, His Royal Highness Prince Felipe of Asturias held audiences at Palacio de la Zarzuela with the winners of the Fondo de Emprendedores Fundación Repsol and the jury, students and professors from Columbia University Business School who are participating in the 2013 Chazen Study Tour, and representatives from the Global Entrepreneurship Monitor (GEM España).
On March 20, 2013, Their Majesties King Albert II and Queen Paola of Belgium visited Namur. The purpose of their visit is to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the Ecole Hôtelière Provinciale.
Upon their arrival in Namur Their Majesties were warmly greeted by local dignitaries as well as hundreds of locals “…on the Place Saint-Aubain.” Soon, King Albert II and Queen Paola participated in a meeting with “…residents and representatives from various provincial schools.”
In the afternoon, Their Majesties arrived at the Palais Provincial where they were given a tour of the Ecole Hôtelière Provinciale and attended a luncheon held in their honor.
On the morning of March 20, 2013, Their Royal Highnesses Prince Philippe and Princess Mathilde, accompanied by their incredibly large business delegation, visited the Map Ta Phut Industrial Estate located on the Eastern Seaboard of Thailand.
During their visit the royal couple participated in a meeting with representatives from the Industrial Estate Authority of Thailand as well as toured the Environmental Monitoring and Control Center.
Afterward, Prince Philippe attended the “…opening of the seminar, Port of Zeebrugge: The Role of Europe’s leading Automotive Port…” Meanwhile, Princess Mathilde visited the Vinythai Coral Reef Project. In the evening the royal couple attended a “…gala dinner on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of BELUTHAI.”
