On May 24, 2012, Their Serene Highness Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene of Monaco attended the “… second practice session at the Monaco F1 Grand Prix…”  Whilst there they mingled with attendees as well as the security staff.

Their Royal Highnesses Prince Philippe and Princess Mathilde of Belgium Visit the Residential Home, Villa Indigo.

Their Royal Highnesses Prince Philippe and Princess Mathilde of Belgium were in Evere on May 24, 2012, to visit the residential home, Villa Indigo.

Upon their arrival the royal couple were greeted by the management of the home, met with residents, and staff who then gave the prince and princess a private tour of the home.

According to the official website for the home, Villa Indigo offers “… the parents of severely ill children a place to receive support and assistance, relax, and heal…”

His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco and former President of the United States Bill Clinton Attend the Charity Gala Event, ‘Nights in Monaco’.

On May 23, 2012, at the Hotel de Paris in Monte-Carlo, Monaco, His Serene Highness Prince Albert II attended the charity gala event entitled, Nights in Monaco. Accompanying the sovereign prince was former President of the United States, Bill Clinton, Baroness Elisabeth Anne de Massy and her lovely daughter, Melanie-Antoinette.

Guests included actress Diane Kruger and her actor boyfriend from the television show, Dawson’s Creek, Lydia Fenet, Sagine Archer, actress Rose McGowen, billionaires, models, singers, and that guy from the movie Titanic who played Rose’s fiancé.

The purpose of the charity gala was to raise money for the Fondation Prince Albert II de Monaco and the William J. Clinton Foundation which “…will be shared equally…” according to Nights in Monaco organizers.

Guests lucky enough to attend the event paid up to $100,000 to chill with the awesome former President and the sovereign prince.  They, the guests, also participated in an auction where they received some pretty cool gifts including a fun-filled day with Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene.  Well, actually, not all day, but a nice private tour of the pretty Palais Princier de Monaco:

[where] you and your guest will be bedazzled by the exquisite Grand Appartements de Reception, including the majestic Throne Room, the elegant and charming Salons and much more. You will also visit the Cour d’Honneur (palace courtyard) where their magnificent princely wedding took place and a visit to the Chapelle Palatine.  Your visit will end in the stunning gardens, around the swimming pool, where you will enjoy some refreshments and finger foods with Their Serene Highnesses.

This experience also includes two VIP places at the prestigious ‘International Jumping of Monte-Carlo’, taking place in June 2013…

Other prizes included a trip to crappy Los Angeles, CA (I can say that, by the way, because I live here   🙂 ),  a citrine and diamond ring from Guli Collections, attend the Formula One “Meet & Greet”, diamonds from Brazilian jewelry designer, Carla Amorim, and much more.

Random Royal News Regarding Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and Ms. Zara Philips (VIDEOS)

On May 23, 2012, Zara Philips, daughter of Her Royal Highness the Princess Royal, carried the “…Olympic torch at Cheltenham racecourse while riding her horse, Toytown.”  As she made her dramatic entrance thousands of fans cheered her on while the theme song from the 1981 movie, Chariots of Fire, blasted through the speakers.

Yeah, it was kind of cheesy.  Personally, speaking Clark Griswold did it better in the movie, Vacation minus the horse.   🙂

 Moving on…

Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II attended a reception held at the Royal Academy in honor of her Diamond Jubilee.  The queen met with various artists, writers, singers, models, and actresses such as Joan Collins from the hit ’80’s show, Dynasty.

Her Royal Highness Princess Maxima of the Netherlands Attends the Opening for the New Location of the Appel Arts Centre in Amsterdam

Her Royal Highness Princess Maxima of the Netherlands was in Amsterdam on May 23, 2012, to attend the opening of the new location for the Appel Arts Centre (AAC).

Upon her arrival she was greeted by the Queen’s Commissioner of North Holland, Mr. Johan Remkes, Deputy Mayor, Carolien Gehrels, and staff from the AAC.

During her visit the princess was given a tour of the new building as well as a private tour of the new exhibition, Topsy Turvy, Leve de Omgekeerde Wereld.

Random Royal News Regarding His Royal Highness Grand Duke Henri of Luxembourg and Their Royal Highnesses Prince Philippe and Princess Mathilde of Belgium.

On Wednesday, May 23, 2012, His Royal Highness Grand Duke Henri of Luxembourg held an audience with Mr.Wu Bangguo, the Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Assembly (AFN) of the People’s Republic of China (long title) held at the Grand Ducal Palace.

Mr. Bangguo also met with “…the Prime Minister and Minister of State, Jean-Claude Juncker, and members of the Government…” according to the Luxembourg newspaper, Wort.

Meanwhile in Brussels, Their Royal Highnesses Prince Philippe and Princess Mathilde of Belgium attended the 2012 Concours Reine Elisabeth Violin Finals (a competition) held at the Palais des Beaux-Arts this evening.

This morning, the royal couple along with Queen Fabiola, Princess Astrid and Prince Lorenz attended a brunch held at the Palais de Bruxelles for “… jury members from the 2012 Concours Reine Elisabeth.”

His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco participated in a charity football match with his team, Équipe Star pour les Enfants (Star Team for the Children), versus the F1 racing team, Nazionale Piloti, at the Stade Louis II in Monaco on May 22, 2012. Also, in attendance were Her Serene Highness Princess Charlene of Monaco, cheering on her husband as he played, Her Royal Highness Princess Alexandra of Hanover as well as Her Serene Highness Princess Stephanie of Monaco and her daughters.

The purpose of the charity match was to raise money for the Princess Charlene Foundation.
