Their Imperial Highnesses Crown Prince Naruhito and Crown Princess Masako of Japan were at Akasaka Imperial Compound in Tokyo on June 12, 2012, to attend the wake for the late Prince Tomohito of Japan.

Prince Tomohito of Japan, cousin of His Imperial Majesty Emperor Akihito, died last week at the age of 66.  The late prince was outspoken regarding the issue of women ascending the Chrysanthemum throne.  Basically, he was against it.

Royal News Regarding His Majesty King Albert II and Queen Paola of Belgium

On June 12, 2012, His Majesty King Albert II of Belgium held an audience with the Secretary of State for the Modernization of Public Services and the Deputy to the Minister of Finance and Sustainable Development for Public Service, Mr. Hendrik Bogaert.

Later, the king attended the inauguration ceremony for the new location of the “…cultural and learning center…” L’Alliance Française de Bruxelles: Europe à Bruxelles.

In the evening, His Majesty King Albert II and Queen Paola attended the opera performance of ‘Il Trovatore’ held at the Théâtre Royal de la Monnaie in Brussels.

Her Royal Highness Princess Maxima of the Netherlands Participates in the Music Project, ‘Pop in School’. (VIDEO)

On June 12, 2012, Her Royal Highness Princess Maxima of the Netherlands was at the Streek school in Tjalleberd to participate in the music project, Pop in School.

According to RVD, Pop in School, which is supported by the Oranje Fund and the Fund for Cultural Participation, is a:

…a partnership between Ateliers Major and five elementary schools in Heerenveen and its surroundings. The goal is to provide children to learn to play and sing in a band, and to provide them knowledge about different musical instruments. The lessons are provided by subjects of Ateliers Major with the support of students from the Friesland College.

Their Royal Highnesses The Earl and Countess of Wessex Visit Gibraltar (VIDEO)

Their Royal Highnesses the Earl and Countess of Wessex have arrived in Gibraltar on June 11, 2012, for a three-day visit as part of Her Majesty’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations.

Despite the controversy of their visit the earl and countess looked happy and relaxed upon their arrival at the airport where they  were greeted by the Prime Minister of Gibraltar, Mr. Fabian Picardo and the Governor Sir Adrian Johns.  So what is the controversy you may ask?  Well, click here to read more from the BBC News.

Any way, on today’s agenda for the royal couple include a Diamond Jubilee song and dance road show (what ever that is), participate in an Oak tree planting ceremony at the Governor’s residence, then they will “…lay the foundation stone for the Diamond Jubilee Monument at the Jubilee Commonwealth Park…”  In the evening, the Earl and Countess of Wessex will attend a reception and a gala dinner at the Rock Hotel.

Their Royal Highnesses Prince Philippe and Princess Mathilde of Belgium Visit Japan

On June 11, 2012, Their Royal Highnesses Prince Philippe and Princess Mathilde of Belgium continued their visit to Japan.  This afternoon, the royal couple met with His Imperial Highness Crown Prince Naruhito of Japan at Akasaka Palace in Tokyo.

The purpose of the royal couple’s visit to Japan is to strengthen economic and bilateral ties between Belgium and Japan.  The trip was “…organized by the Agency for International Trade in collaboration with the Regional Services of International Trade which includes Awex, Flanders Investment & Trade and Brussels Invest & Export…” according to La Monarchie Belge.

His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco Attends the 52nd Monte-Carlo Television Festival. Plus, News Regarding Her Serene Highness Princess Charlene of Monaco.

His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco was at the Grimaldi Forum on June 10, 2012, to attend the opening ceremony of the  52nd Monte-Carlo Television Festival.

During the four-day event the sovereign prince will present Disney Media Networks Co-Chair and Disney/ABC Television Group president, Ms. Dawn Sweeney, with the Honorary Golden Nymph Prize for “… her extraordinary achievements as one of the leading companies in the global entertainment industry…” according to a Disney press release.
