Their Imperial Majesties Emperor Akihito and Empress Michiko of Japan hosted a dinner at the Imperial Palace on June 12, 2012, in honor of Their Royal Highnesses Prince Philippe and Princess Mathilde of Belgium.

On the agenda today, the royal couple visited the Seafarers Centre, the Port Authority and Vessel Traffic Control, and the Stay Behind Cave. They also toured the Gibraltar Museum, met with members of “… Her Majesty’s Armed Forces at the Tower at the Navy Base…”, opened a playground at the Morrish Castle Estate, attended a birthday parade at Casemates Square in honor of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and much more.
Their Imperial Highnesses Crown Prince Naruhito and Crown Princess Masako of Japan were at Akasaka Imperial Compound in Tokyo on June 12, 2012, to attend the wake for the late Prince Tomohito of Japan.
Prince Tomohito of Japan, cousin of His Imperial Majesty Emperor Akihito, died last week at the age of 66. The late prince was outspoken regarding the issue of women ascending the Chrysanthemum throne. Basically, he was against it.

According to RVD, Pop in School, which is supported by the Oranje Fund and the Fund for Cultural Participation, is a:
…a partnership between Ateliers Major and five elementary schools in Heerenveen and its surroundings. The goal is to provide children to learn to play and sing in a band, and to provide them knowledge about different musical instruments. The lessons are provided by subjects of Ateliers Major with the support of students from the Friesland College.
Their Royal Highnesses the Earl and Countess of Wessex have arrived in Gibraltar on June 11, 2012, for a three-day visit as part of Her Majesty’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations.
Despite the controversy of their visit the earl and countess looked happy and relaxed upon their arrival at the airport where they were greeted by the Prime Minister of Gibraltar, Mr. Fabian Picardo and the Governor Sir Adrian Johns. Any way, on today’s agenda for the royal couple include a Diamond Jubilee song and dance road show (what ever that is), participate in an Oak tree planting ceremony at the Governor’s residence, then they will “…lay the foundation stone for the Diamond Jubilee Monument at the Jubilee Commonwealth Park…” In the evening, the Earl and Countess of Wessex will attend a reception and a gala dinner at the Rock Hotel.
