Her Royal Highness Princess Maxima of the Netherlands Visits the Stichting Piëzo in Zoetermeer

Her Royal Highness Princess Maxima of the Netherlands was in Zoetermeer where she visited the Stichting Piëzo (Foundation Piëzo) on April 12, 2012.  The princess was accompanied by the director of the Oranje Fonds, Mr. Van der Giessen and the mayor of Zoetermeer.

According to RVD, Stichting Piëzo is an “… organization that encourages participation, emancipation and integration with the inhabitants of  Zoetermeer…”  

Any way, Princess Maxima met with volunteers as well as students at one of the Piëzo Centrum (the foundation’s center) who are participating in a Dutch language program which is funded by the Oranje Fonds.  According to the official website for the Stichting Piëzo there are four center’s in:

… four districts in Zoetermeer where a large amount of activities are offered to the inhabitants of Zoetermeer. A team of 12 professionals in these centres supports a group of more than 220 volunteers. A wide range of language courses and activities are organized in these centers daily.

His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco Visits the 2012 WIMA NFC Show and Conference (VIDEOS)

On April 12, 2012, His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco visited the 2012 WIMA NFC Show and Conference held at the Grimaldi Forum in Monaco.

According to the official website for 2012 WIMA this event:

… is the leading global conference & exhibition exclusively dedicated to NFC technology, bringing together the entire NFC ecosystem from industry leaders, to start-up companies, application developers, service providers, standards organisations, government bodies and research & educational institutions to its annual event in Monaco.

Her Royal Highness Princess Maxima of the Netherlands Participates in a Conference at the University of Twente

On April 11, 2012, Her Royal Highness Princess Maxima of the Netherlands was at the University of Twente to participate in the first UN Review Conference on Micro-Insurance.

Upon her arrival the princess was greeted by faculty from the University of Twente as well as participants at the conference.  According to the official website for the University of Twente today’s event was:

… organized by the Institute for Innovation and Governance Studies, a research institute of the University of Twente, in cooperation with the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs as well as various international (research) institutes in the field of micro-finance.

Their Imperial Majesties Emperor Akihito and Empress Michiko of Japan: A Possible Visit Britain in May. Plus, Other News

In a press conference this afternoon in Tokyo, Japan Chief Cabinet Secretary, Mr. Osamu Fujimura, announced that Their Imperial Majesties Emperor Akihito and Empress Michiko may visit Britain “…to attend a ceremony on May 18 in celebration of the 60th anniversary of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II’s accession to the throne…”    The Imperial Household Agency and the Japanese government are currently working out the details and plans for “possibility” of the imperial couple’s visit.

Meanwhile, Emperor Akihito met with British Prime Minister, Mr. David Cameron, at the Imperial Palace in Tokyo. Prime Minister Cameron and a British business delegation are currently on a “… week-long visit to East and South East Asia in an attempt to boost UK trade…”

Random Royal News Regarding Her Royal Highness the Duchess of Cornwall and Princess Corinna von Hohenzollern

It was announced that Her Royal Highness the Duchess of Cornwall received the Dame of the Grand Cross which was appointed to her by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. Click here to read more about this wonderful honor.

Meanwhile, the bikini princess, Corinna von Hohenzollern, has been quite busy since her regal marriage to Carl Alexander Prince von Hohnzollern in February.  According to the Austrian online newspaper, OE 24, princess was recently in Vienna, Austria where she attended a party hosted by the pervert gentleman’s magazine, Penthouse.  Finally, Princess Corinna launched her official fan page on Facebook.  Yay.  For more information please click here.

Random Royal News Regarding the Imperial Family of Japan

On April 9, 2012, His Imperial Highness Crown Prince Naruhito of Japan held an audience with the Bulgarian Parliament Chairperson Ms. Tsetska Tsacheva at Akasaka Palace.  The purpose of the meeting, according to the Bulgarian News Agency, was to “… strengthen ties between Japan and Bulgaria.”  Ms. Tsacheva also met with Japanese Prime Minister Yoshihiko Noda whereupon discussions focused on, “…helping more Japanese businesses enter the East European country [Bulgaria] by improving its investment environment…”

Meanwhile, the Imperial Household Agency announced that His Imperial Majesty Emperor Akihito of Japan:

…is expected to resume his official duties on Tuesday after they were delegated to Crown Prince Naruhito prior to the Emperor’s heart bypass surgery in February. The resumption of official duties by the emperor will be approved by the Cabinet on Tuesday…
