On October 1, 2011, H.R.H. Princess Mathilde of Belgium attended the 2011 European Job Days event at the Berlaymont in Brussels. This event is organized by the European Commission, EURES, the network of employment in Europe.
European Job Days is dedicated to the recruitment and the provision of practical information on all aspects of geographical mobility in Europe. It also facilitates contacts between employers and job seekers, especially the youth. The main theme of this year is “job creation through entrepreneurship” including the use of the instrument of microfinance.
The Hereditary Grand Duke Prince Guillaume of Luxembourg has been quite busy these past few days. Yesterday, the prince attended the 21st Krazibierg Gala Charity Foundation. As honorary president of the foundation it was his duty as well as pleasure to show up.
On October 1, 2011, Grand Duke Henri of Luxembourg attended the funeral of the late H.I.R.H. Archduke Felix of Austria at the Klosterkirche Muri in Switzerland. Finally, this morning at the Cathédrale de Luxembourg, the grand duke participated in a Mass in honor of National Commemoration Day in Luxembourg. After the service he attended a ceremony the Monument National de Solidarite Luxembourg.
On October 1, 2011, Her Majesty Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands attended the re-opening of the Scheepvaartmuseum (Netherlands Maritime Museum) in Amsterdam. Arriving on the royal yacht, De Groene, Queen Beatrix was warmly greeted by the mayor of Amsterdam, Eberhard van deer Laan, museum employees, and other guests.
The Scheepvaartmuseum had undergone major renovation for the past four years; now the museum is in tip-top shape and ready for visitors to view their artifacts, paintings, and so on.

The S/S 2012 prêt-à-porter shows continued today in Paris, France and this afternoon the Swiss design house, Akris, presented their collection at the Palais de Chaillot. Guests at the show included H.S.H. Princess Charlene of Monaco (wearing a dress by Akris), Hamish Bowles, and Anna Wintour to name a few.
