On the early morning of Friday, July 12, 2013, the two Elephants rescued from the Tete d’Or Zoo in Lyon, France by Her Serene Highness Princess Stephanie of Monaco have finally arrived at Roc Agel, the country home/retreat for the members of the Princely family.
Last year the two elephants, named Nepal and Baby, were about to be put down “…when municipal officials in Lyon decided they had almost certainly been infected with Tuberculosis…” according to the newspaper France 24.
Upon hearing the news Princess Stephanie stepped in and saved the two precious elephants. Now, Baby and Nepal are living in a “…38,000 square foot enclosure with a huge wooden shelter and a pool from them to drink from and cool off in…”
Awesome! 🙂
