On Wednesday, November 25, 2015, His Majesty King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima of the Netherlands accompanied by Her Royal Highness Princess Beatrix of the Netherlands, and His Royal Highness Prince Constantijn of the Netherlands attended the 2015 Erasmusprijs award ceremony held at the Koninklijk Paleis (Royal Palace) in Amsterdam. His Majesty is Patron of the Stichting Praemium Erasmianum (Praemium Erasmianum Foundation).
The winner of the award, worth €150,000, went to Wikipedia and the Wikipedia community for the promotion of the dissemination of knowledge through a “…comprehensive and universally accessible encyclopedia. Thus the initiators of Wikipedia have designed a new and effective democratic platform…” according to a press release.

The Tusk Conservation Awards recognizes “…the dedication of those fighting for the survival of Africa’s iconic species and their life-enhancing work amongst communities living alongside wildlife under threat.”

On the evening of November 24, 2015, Their Majesties King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia of Spain attended he 15th anniversary celebrations of the newspaper, 20 Minutos, held at the Real Casa de Correos in Madrid.
On November 21, 2015, Her Serene Highness Princess Charlene of Monaco participated in the 30th Annual International Conference of the Pontifical Council for Health Care Workers held inside the New Synod Hall in Vatican City, Vatican. Over 500 people from 60 countries attended the three-day conference which focused on various issues including the right of access to clean drinking water and sanitation problems in urban areas.
The princess was invited to give a speech at the event to inform attendees about her foundation, Fondation Princesse Charlene de Monaco. The mission of her foundation is to “…raise public awareness about the dangers of water, teach children preventive measures, and teach them to swim. [The foundation’s overall objective is to] is to save lives by putting an end to drowning.”
