H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco: Hiking Enthusiast!

As you may or may not know by now H.S.H. Prince Albert II along with his nephew, Andrea Casiraghi, participated in a little nature hike on September 11, 2011, to mark the 100th anniversary of the Club Alpin Monégasque.

The green prince (looking trim and spiffy in his new REI hiking gear), a newly bald Andrea, and many others began their trek bright and early in the morning in front of the Palais Princier de Monaco then proceeded to make their way to Mont-Agel, the highest peak that borders Monaco and France.  According to various reports everyone had a fabulous time and vowed to do it again.  To view photos please click here.  To learn more about the Club Alpin Monégasque please click here.

H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco Plays the Drums!

According to the newspaper, Monaco Matin, H.S.H. Prince Albert II attended some soft-rock concert (sorry, but I have no idea who the musicians are; in other words, I’ve never heard of them) in Monte-Carlo on September 11, 2011.

For the finale the sovereign prince jumped on stage and proceeded to play the drums as if he were the late John Bonham from the band, Led Zeppelin “…to the surprise of all the spectators… he shared his talents as a musician.”

Ferosh.

On September 10, 2011, T.S.H.s Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene of Monaco along with H.R.H. Princess Caroline of Hanover, H.R.H. Princess Alexandra of Hanover, a bald Andrea Casiraghi, and members of the De Massey family attended the 2011 Pique-nique Monegasque in Monaco.

I have no idea what the purpose of this event is all about nor I am sure the princely couple brought macaroni salad or not to the pique-nique (picnic); nevertheless, everyone in attendance seemed to have a jolly old good time.  To view photos please click here.
