(VIDEOS) HRH Prince Harry of Wales Meets with HIV Positive Patients.

On Monday, December 14, 2015, His Royal Highness Prince Harry of Wales arrived at the Mildmay UK Hospital in East London to meet with HIV (Human Immunodeficiency Virus) Positive patients as well as dedicated doctors and staff who treat the patients.

According to a press release since 1988 the Mildmay UK Hospital has been providing care and services to people living with HIV. The hospital is:

“…the only center in Europe dedicated to rehabilitation for people with a complex HIV condition called HAND – HIV Associated Neurocognitive Disorder. This condition occurs when HIV enters the brain causing symptoms similar to severe dementia, including memory loss, confusion, loss of a sense of self, difficulty walking, speaking and coping with to day to day tasks.

Mildmay’s specialized care and support includes highly skilled medical and nursing care, treatment and rehabilitation which combines a range of therapies. These include counselling, occupational therapy, physiotherapy, speech and language, music and art therapies and mental health services.” 

During today’s visit Prince Harry officially opened the hospital’s new £6 million new purpose-built facilities.

(VIDEOS) TMs King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia of Spain Participate in a Meeting in Madrid.

On the morning of Monday, December 14, 2015, Their Majesties King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia of Spain participated in the 13th meeting with board members from the Fundación Princesa de Girona at Palacio Real in Madrid.

Prior to the meeting Their Majesties and the board members observed a moment of silence in remembrance of the Spanish security officer as well as police officer who were killed near the Spanish Embassy in Kabul, Afghanistan last Friday.

TMs King Philippe and Queen Mathilde of Belgium Attend a Special Mass in Mechelen.

On Saturday, December 12, 2015, Their Majesties King Philippe and Queen Mathilde of Belgium attended a special Mass at the Sint-Romboutskathedraal (St. Rumbold’s Cathedral) in Mechelen for the new Archbishop of Mechelen-Brussels, Msgr. Jozef De Kesel.  Last month, November 6, His Holiness Pope Francis named Msgr. Jozef De Kesel to succeed Archbishop André-Joseph Léonard.

Twenty bishops, 140 priests and 30 deacons presided over this afternoon’s Eucharistic celebrations which was attended by over 250 people including Belgian politicians, religious leaders, and of course the faithful.

(VIDEO) HM King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands Visits the Gezondheidscentrum Thermion.

On Thursday, December 10, 2015, His Majesty King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands visited the Gezondheidscentrum (health center) Thermion in Nijmegen.

Whilst there His Majesty participated in a meeting with nurses and individuals who work in the home care industry.  Discussions focused on a variety of issues including the recent changes in the Dutch health care system according to RVD.

Following the meeting His Majesty took the time to meet with “…chronically ill residents of Nijmegen.”

(VIDEOS) HM King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands Celebrates 350 Years of the Korps Mariniers.

On the morning of Saturday, December 12, 2015, His Majesty King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands celebrated the 350th anniversary of the Koninklijke Korps Mariniers (Royal Marine Corps) in Rotterdam.

Following brief ceremony at the Stadhuis van Rotterdam, where various speeches were made by the Mayor of Rotterdam, His Majesty along with hundreds of guests watched a military parade with 5,000 former and current members of the Korps Mariniers.

Members of the Swedish Royal Family Attend the King’s Dinner for the 2015 Nobel Laureates.

swedenOn the evening of Friday, December 11, 2015, Their Majesties King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia of Sweden accompanied by Their Royal Highnesses Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel of Sweden, Their Royal Highnesses Prince Carl Philip and Princess Sofia of Sweden, Her Royal Highness Princess Madeleine of Sweden and Mr. Christopher O’Neill, and Her Royal Highness Princess Christina of Sweden and Mr. Tord Magnuson attended the King’s Dinner for the 2015 Nobel Laureates held at the Kungliga Slottet (royal palace) in Stockholm.

(VIDEO) Her Majesty Queen Rania of Jordan Receives an Honorary Doctorate.

On Thursday, December 10, 2015, Her Majesty Queen Rania of Jordan received an Honorary Doctorate from Sapienza Università di Roma in Rome, Italy.

Her Majesty was bestowed with the degree of Science Development and International Cooperation in “…recognition of her activities in promoting peace and cross-cultural dialogue and her efforts against religious and gender discriminations…” according to a press release via the official website for Her Majesty Queen Rania.

During yesterday’s ceremony more than “…300 scholars, students, and influencers, the Queen gave a speech that emphasized the need to unify against a common enemy of ‘irreligious terrorists whose sole aim is to destroy the civilized world.'”
