On Tuesday, September 18, 2012, Her Majesty Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands along with Their Royal Highnesses Prince Willem-Alexander of Oranje and Princess Maxima of the Netherlands, Their Royal Highnesses Prince Constantijn and Princess Laurentien of the Netherlands and Her Royal Highness Princess Margriet of the Netherlands and her husband, Mr. Pieter van Vollenhoven, attended the 2012 Prinsjesdag.

Her Majesty Queen Sofia of Spain Visits the Centro de Adopción de la Asociación Nacional de Amigos de los Animales. (VIDEO)

On September 18, 2012, Her Majesty Queen Sofia of Spain visited the Centro de Adopción de la Asociación Nacional de Amigos de los Animales (Center for Abandoned Animals Adoption of the Naional Association of Friends of Animals) outside of Madrid.

According to the official website for the center:

“The National Association of Friends of Animals is a non-profit organization that was founded in Madrid, Spain, in 1992, in response to the high number of animals that are neglected and abused in our country… 

 The animals at our center receive the care they need including food, exercise, love and veterinary care. The ANAA Adoption Center is intended as a place of passage, since the aim is that all animals are adoptable and find a family that will provide the necessary conditions for optimal quality of life. In ANAA Adoption Centre staff work daily so engaged as volunteers who selflessly give their time, in order that the animals are in the best possible conditions.”

Royal News Regarding Her Royal Highness Princess Caroline of Hanover and Her Serene Highness Princess Charlene of Monaco.

On Monday, September 17, 2012, Her Royal Highness Princess Caroline of Hanover attended the l’Institut de Formation en Soins Infirmiers  graduation ceremony in Monaco.

The purpose of her attendance was to present badges to each of the graduates. Also during yesterday’s event the director of the l’Institut de Formation en Soins Infirmiers, Ms. Monique Le Du, announced that Princess Caroline has “… agreed to become patron of the school.”

And, finally, Her Serene Highness Princess Charlene of Monaco was recently in Paris, France for a little retail therapy.  According to the Spanish magazine, Hola, the princess shopped at Dior and Ralph Lauren to name a few.

His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales Visits Shropshire. (VIDEO)

On Monday, September 17, 2012, His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales visited Shropshire.  Per a press release regarding today’s events:

“His Royal Highness visited St Laurence’s Church in Ludlow, one of his charities, In Kind Direct, based in Telford and Coalbrookdale Museum of Iron.

In Ludlow, the prince toured St Laurence’s Church, and officially begin the work to create the town’s Jubilee Garden.

In Telford, the Prince of Wales, founder, In Kind Direct, visited the charity’s warehouse on Stafford Park and met volunteers, supporters and beneficiaries.

The Prince of Wales, patron, the Ironbridge Gorge Museum Trust, also attended a reception for supporters and unveiled the newly restored Boy and Swan Fountain at Coalbrookdale Museum of Iron.

The Prince of Wales also celebrated the museum’s 10th anniversary of the development which created Enginuity, the museum’s award-winning hands-on Design & Technology Centre and which also restored a number of historically important buildings at Coalbrookdale, the place internationally recognized as the Birthplace of Industry.”

His Majesty King Juan Carlos I of Spain Flies in a Helicopter. (VIDEO)

On September 17, 2012, His Majesty King Juan Carlos I of Spain was at the Cuatro Vientos Air Base in Madrid where he was given a test fly in the new NH-90 helicopter.  Apparently, this isn’t the first time His Majesty has been in a helicopter; in fact, he is an expert pilot with over “… 3,740 flight hours…” under his royal belt.

Any way, according to the Spanish online newspaper, ABC, the old king had a fabulous time flying in this nifty ‘copter for “… 30 minutes…”  

Then it was over.
