Her Majesty Queen Paola of Belgium was at the Sénat in Brussels this morning to attend the 2012 Femmes de Paix ceremony. Today’s event honored 18 women who:
“… promote peace, reconciliation, and women’s rights. The recipients received a silver poppy and the honor title of Femme de Paix from the members of the Comité d’avis pour l’égalité des Chances Entre les Femmes et les Hommes (Advisory Committee for Equal Opportunities Between Women and Men) …”
On December 10, 2012, His Royal Highness Prince Felipe of Asturias held audiences at the Palacio de La Zarzuela with members from the Jóvenes Marroquíes Representantes de Partidos Políticos and the Programa Líderes Hispanos de Estados Unidos.
On the morning of December 10, 2012, Their Majesties King Albert II and Queen Paola of Belgium arrived at the headquarters of the publishing company, Rossel & Cie, to celebrate the 125th anniversary of the Belgian newspaper, Le Soir.

On the evening of Friday, December 7, 2012, Their Royal Highnesses The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall “… switched on Tetbury’s Christmas lights…” in front of hundreds of locals in Tetbury, Gloucestershire.

On the evening of Saturday, December 8, 2012, His Royal Highness The Duke of Cambridge attended the Winter Whites Gala held at the in Royal Hallon in London.
And, finally, it was announced that the duke will not attend the British Military Tournament this evening. Per St. James’s Palace:
“The Duke of Cambridge will no longer attend the British Military Tournament at Earls Court this evening, but will spend Sunday privately with the Duchess instead. It is well known that Hyperemesis Gravidarum often recurs and, until further notice, to allow the Duchess a degree of privacy during her pregnancy, we do not intend to offer regular condition checks or advise of routine developments associated with it.”
On Thursday, December 6, 2012, Their Royal Highnesses Grand Duchess Maria Teresa and Hereditary Grand Duchess Stéphanie of Luxembourg attended a gala concert at the Philharmonie de Luxembourg. The concert “… benefited the SOS Village d’Enfants Monde…”
According to the Luxembourgish newspaper, Wort, proceeds from the gala concert will be donated to the SOS Village d’Enfants Monde in Capre Verde, which “… offers support to 540 children and 160 families on the islands of São Vicente and Santiago.”
