Her Majesty Queen Sofia of Spain was at the Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de Barcelona to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Fundación Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de Barcelona (MACBA).
During her visit Her Majesty view an exhibition entitled, Episodios Críticos (1957-2011), as well as mingled with various guests.
“… apart of the ROC special training program aimed at young people who, due to personal circumstances or limitations, cannot find their way into the mainstream education system. By custom, they can through the My School Initiative and still earn a diploma.”
During her visit the princes met with students, teachers and counselors. This unique program is funded by the Oranje Fond in which Princess Maxima is patron.
His Royal Highness Prince Willem-Alexander of Oranje was in Oss on December 4, 2012, to attend the opening of the Life Science Park. According to RVD, the Life Science Park “…focuses on drug research and is located on the site of the pharmaceutical company, MSD. “
Her Royal Highness Grand Duchess Maria Teresa of Luxembourg visited the Jean Jaurés Primary School in Esch-sur-Alzette. During her visit, according to the newspaper Wort, the Grand Duchess presented the school with the Ensemble pour l’inclusion Award “… in recognition of the school’s commitment to helping students with learning disabilities…”

On Monday, December 3, 2012, Her Royal Highness Princess Astrid of Belgium visited the laboratory, Cyclotron, at the Université de Liège (University of Liège). According to the Belgian royal court the “... staff at the laboratory were awarded the 2012 Medical and Scientific Research Prize by the Fondation Roi Baudouin.”
Her Royal Highness Princess Mathilde of Belgium was at the Palais d’Egmont in Brussels on Monday, December 3, 2012, to participate in the conference entitled, Children’s Rights and Business Principles.
According to the Belgian royal court today’s conference was organized by “… the United Nations Global Compact Belgium in collaboration with SPF Foreign Affairs Belgium and UNICEF, and aims to educate the business world to respect the rights of the child in the strategic planning of businesses.”
