His Royal Highness Prince Willem-Alexander of Oranje Visits the VDL ETG Group in Eindhoven. (VIDEO)

His Royal Highness Prince Willem-Alexander of Oranje was in Eindhoven on February 6, 2013, to visit the company, VDL ETG Group.

According to RVD:

“The VDL Group operates in the sector of supply includes modules for the semiconductor industry, bus manufacturer and supplier of various end products such as packaging. The products that the VDL Group makes relate to metal, plastic and engineering. ”

Upon his arrival at VDL ETG in Eindhoven the Prince Willem-Alexander was warmly greeted by representatives of VDL ETG then given a tour of the facility.  During his visit he was “…informed about the history of the family business and the current position of the company which currently employs 9,000 individuals operating in 18 countries.”  The prince also met with various employees in which he “…talked to them about their work.”

Her Majesty Queen Silvia of Sweden Visits the European Center for Disease Prevention and Control.

silviaHer Majesty Queen Silvia of Sweden visited the European Center for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC) in Stockholm on February 5, 2013.

Upon her arrival, according to the official website for the ECDC, Her Majesty was warmly greeted by ECDC director, Mr. Marc Sprenger who:

 “…introduced Queen Silvia to the work of the Centre on its mission to strengthen Europe’s defenses against communicable diseases. [During the] Mr. Sprenger presented an overview of the Core Activities of the Centre, ranging from disease surveillance and outbreak response to scientific advice and training.”

Her Majesty was also given a tour of the ECDC’s Emergency Operations Center as well as met with “…experts from the different ECDC disease programs who provided insights to the ECDC’s  work on childhood immunization, HIV, antimicrobial resistance and healthcare-associated infections.”

News Regarding His Majesty King Juan Carlos I of Spain. (VIDEO)

jcOn the morning of Tuesday, February 5, 2013, at the Palacio Real de Madrid, His Majesty King Juan Carlos I of Spain received credentials from ambassadors from Australia, Italy, Canada, Senegal, France and Greece.

In the evening, His Majesty held a meeting with the President of Kazakhstan, Mr. Nursultan Nazarbayev.  Afterward, His Majesty King Juan Carlos I hosted a dinner at the palace for President Nazarbayev and his delegation.

Oh, yeah, I forgot one important thing. His Majesty also held an audiences with representatives from Agencia de Noticias Europa Press and Agencia EFE at Palacio de la Zarzuela.  And, that’s it.   🙂

“Richard III”

I saw this movie years ago and I suppose now is a great time to share it with all of you.   🙂  Any way, here is the 1955 film, Richard III, based on William Shakespeare’s play and directed by Sir Laurence Olivier. The film stars Mr. Ralph Richardson, Ms. Claire Bloom, Mr. Cedric Hardwicke, and of course, Sir Laurence Olivier.

News Regarding Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.

WilliamandKateIt was announced by St. James’ Palace that Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cambridge, as Patron of Action on Addiction, will visit the drug and alcohol treatment center, Hope House, on February 19, 2013.  During her visit the Duchess will “…meet clients and staff at Hope House…”

Meanwhile, The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are currently on holiday in the Caribbean.  The Sun newspaper is reporting that the royal couple are “…staying at a £19,000-a-week villa on the island of Mustique. The luxury pad boasts an infinity pool, games room and stunning views of the Caribbean Sea.”
