News Regarding His Majesty King Abdullah II of Jordan. (VIDEO)

HMKAofJordanOn March 19, 2013, His Majesty King Abdullah II of Jordan attended the opening of the Ghazzat Hashem Mosque in Ein Al Basha.  After the official opening His Majesty, accompanied by various government officials, was given a tour of the new three story mosque.

His Majesty also made a surprise visit to an “…impoverished community living in tents near Amman…” according to the Jordan News Agency.  During his visit the king, “…checked the conditions of the families living in the tents and ordered authorities to secure a decent living [conditions] for them.”

WilliamandKateOn March 19, 2013, Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge visited “…the offices of Child Bereavement UK…” charity in Saunderton, Buckinghamshire.

According to the official website for this charity:

“Their Royal Highnesses met with staff from the charity’s Bereavement Services and Training and Fundraising teams.  The couple also met bereaved families involved in the Children and Young People’s Service (CHYPS), the Young People’s Advisory Group (YPAG) and a Parents’ Support Group.”

TRHs Prince Philippe and Princess Mathilde of Belgium Visit Thailand: Day Three.

PMBelgiumOn March 19, 2013, Their Royal Highnesses Prince Philippe and Princess Mathilde of Belgium continued their six-day visit to Thailand.

This morning at the St. Regis Bangkok Prince Philippe attended the opening of the “…information session on ‘Infractstructure and Logistics’…”  Soon, the prince and his delegation attended the opening of the 10th anniversary of “…Emeritis in Thailand…”, and attended a luncheon with the Thai Minister of Industry.

Meanwhile, Her Royal Highness Princess Mathilde participated in a meeting with representatives from the “…World Bank, WHO, and the UN who are active in Thailand…”  The princess also attended a luncheon with Thai Young Global Leaders, participated in a meeting with “…business women of the Belgian delegation” and much more.

Later in the afternoon the royal couple participated in a roundtable discussion entitled, Healthcare and Pharmaceuticals.

His Highness Hereditary Prince Hubertus of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha Becomes Patron of the Coburger Europa-Preis.

scgRecently, His Highness Hereditary Prince Hubertus of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha agreed to become patron of the Coburger Europa-Preis competition.

Coburger Europa-Preis will be “…given to a school, class, or student groups whose project emphasizes European studies as a whole (or something like that).  All entries must be submitted by July 30.  Then a jury will determine the winners in four categories: The school prize, Grades 1-4, Grades 5-8, Grades 9-12.”  

Any-who, besides receiving a fancy plaque the winners will either attend a performance at the Theaterstückes, receive 1,000 Euros, enjoy an ice-rafting experience in Oberhof, and/or spend a day at Schloss Callenberg where they will enjoy a movie at the prince’s cozy home.  Hopefully the movie won’t be something incredibly boring like Twilight.   🙂

gsOn Sunday, March 17, 2013, Their Royal Highnesses Hereditary Grand Duke Guillaume and Hereditary Grand Duchess Stéphanie of Luxembourg attended a concert “…on the occasion of the 150th anniversary of the Harmonie Municipale Luxembourg & Limpertsberg…” held at Cercle Cité.
