Their Majesties King Juan Carlos I and Queen Sofia of Spain held an audience this morning with Mr. José Manuel Caballero Bonald and his wife, Ms. Josefa Ramis, at Palacio de la Zarzuela in Madrid.
Mr. Bonald is the recipient if the 2012 Premio de Literatura en Lengua Castellana ‘Miguel de Cervantes’. The award is the highest recognition of the creative labor of Spanish and Latin American writers. Mr. Bonald will be presented with this prestigious award as a result of his lifetime body of work which includes editing, poetry, novels, and academic efforts such as his contributions to the Seminario de Lexicografía de la Real Academia Española.
In the afternoon, Their Royal Highnesses Prince Felipe and Princess Letizia of Asturias hosted a luncheon at Palacio Real de Madrid in honor of Mr. José Manuel Caballero Bonald.
According to the newspaper, Wort, Their Royal Highnesses Hereditary Grand Duke Guillaume and Hereditary Grand Duchess Stéphanie of Luxembourg will attend the upcoming inauguration/investiture of His Royal Highness Prince Willem-Alexander of Oranje on April 30, 2013 in Amsterdam.
In other news, the hereditary grand-ducal couple were at the Grand-Théâtre de la Ville de Luxembourg yesterday to attend a graduation ceremony of “…young master craftsman and the winners of the Promotion of Labor…” according to the Cour Grand-Ducale de Luxembourg.
The Cour Grand-Ducale de Luxembourg announced this morning the wedding dates for His Royal Highness Prince Fèlix of Luxembourg and his longtime girlfriend, Miss Claire Lademacher. The civil marriage will take place in Königstein im Taunus, Germany on September 17, 2013. The religious ceremony will take place on September 21, 2013, at the basilique de Sainte Marie-Madeleine de Saint-Maximin-la-Sainte-Baume in France.
Their Serene Highness Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene of Monaco attended the final match of the ATP Monte-Carlo Rolex Tennis Masters Tournament in Monaco this afternoon. The princely couple cheered as Mr. Novak Djokovic and Mr. Rafael Nadal battled it out for the winning title. In the end, it was Mr. Djokovic who won the match. Congrats, dude.
In other news, Her Serene Highness Princess Charlene made a surprise visit to famed chef, Mr. Christian Garcia, at the FNAC according to the Palais Princier. Chef Garcia will soon be featured in a new documentary entitled, Dans les Cuisines du Palais Princier de Monaco.
