Her Majesty Queen Maxima of the Netherlands arrived in Hillegom this afternoon to officially open Fioretti College’s new building and exhibition.  Upon her arrival the queen was warmly greeted  by school officials as well as by hundreds of students.

Her Majesty Queen Sofia of Spain Opens the Exhibition, Mujeres por África. (VIDEO)

Her Majesty Queen Sofia of Spain arrived at the Sede del Colegio Oficial de Arquitectos de Madrid in Madrid this afternoon to officially open the new exhibition entitled, Mujeres por África.

The exhibition, organized by the Fundación Mujeres por África, hopes to contribute to a better knowledge of the African continent and in particular of African women.

His Majesty King Abdullah II of Jordan Holds a Meeting with United States and British Delegations. (VIDEO)

On Wednesday, May 29, 2013, His Majesty King Abdullah II of Jordan participated in a meeting in Amman with aides from the United States Senate as well as with representatives from the British Royal College of Defense Studies.

According to Petra News to purpose of the meeting was to “…discuss local, regional, and international issues…” including the Syrian crisis and the serious repercussions for the entire region, ways to achieve peace in the Middle East, and much more.

belgiumThis afternoon at the Serres Royales de Laeken Her Majesty Queen Paola of Belgium, accompanied by His Majesty King Albert II, presented the 2012-2013 Prix Reine Paola pour l’Enseignement.

Established in 1996 the Prix Reine Paola pour l’Enseignement are “…awarded annually to a teacher or group of teachers, from three linguistic communities within Belgium, who celebrate the creativity and dedication of teachers in their practical and original educational achievements...”  If that makes any sense…

TIMs Emperor Akihito and Empress Michiko of Japan Meet With The Prime Minister of India.

On Wednesday, May 29, 2013, Their Imperial Majesties Emperor Akihito and Empress Michiko of Japan held an audience with the Prime Minister of India, Mr. Manmohan Singh, and his wife, Ms. Gursharan Kaur, at the Imperial Palace in Tokyo.

Afterward, the emperor and empress hosted a luncheon in honor of Prime Minister Singh’s three-day visit to Japan.

Her Royal Highness Infanta Elena of Spain Attends the Premios de Acción Humanitaria Doña María de las Mercedes. Plus, News Regarding His Majesty King Juan Carlos I of Spain.

elenaOn the afternoon of Tuesday, May 28, 2013, Her Royal Highness Infanta Elena of Spain attended the II Edition of the Premios de Acción Humanitaria Doña María de las Mercedes held at the Iglesia Colegial del Divino Salvador in Sevilla, Spain.

After opening the session Infanta Elena proceeded to present awards to the Fundación Privada de la Obra Mercedaria, Fundación Juan Felipe Gómez Escobar and Manos Unidas.  And, that’s it.   🙂

In other news, after the Spanish royal court announced to the press that His Majesty King Juan Carlos I of Spain decided to dump his beloved $27 million yacht the business owners who gave it to him — as a lovely gift — were not exactly happy campers upon hearing the news.  Basically, these business owners said, “Give us our damn boat back you ungrateful old king!”  Well, they didn’t use those exact words, but they sure are irritated.  Click here to read more about the “Boatgate” from the Telegraph newspaper.
