News Regarding Her Majesty Queen Maxima of the Netherlands. (VIDEO)

pssmaxima2011On the morning of Friday, June 28, 2013, Her Majesty Queen Maxima of the Netherlands arrived in Amsterdam to attend the 2013 Startup Boot Camp Demo Day (SBC).  So, what is Startup Boot Camp you may ask?  Well, according to the SBC’s official website it is:

“….a mentorship driven program; these mentors drive the startups acceleration over the 3 month program – and often for months or years afterwards. The Startupbootcamp founders team, together with their group of international mentors, can open the door to nearly every investor, customer or partner. The value is the quality of that network.

Mentors work closely with the startups to develop their product, validate their business model, get their first pilot customers and aim to get funding at the end of the program. Startupbootcamp facilitates this mentorship driven model by providing startups with the essential tools needed to have a concrete focus during the 3 month program. What are these essential tools? We provide €15,000 towards living expenses for the team during the program, 6 months co-working space, over €150,000 in sponsored services and the platform to pitch to over 400 investors at Investor Demo Day.”

According to RVD, during this morning’s event Her Majesty attended various presentations and met with participants involved in the program “…during a roundtable conversation about entrepreneurship in the digital era.”

In the afternoon, Her Majesty Queen Maxima arrived in Eindhoven to attend the 2013 RoboCup World Championships on Robotics.  Again, according to RVD, the goal of RoboCup is to promote “technology and accelerating the development of affordable and reliable robotic technology for the (aging) society.”

An evening filled with wit, eccentric characters, and a celebration of courage and friendship. Charlotte Mosley, her niece and editor, joins the Dowager Duchess in conversation.”
