TIMs Emperor Akihito and Empress Michiko of Japan Preside Over the 2013 Japan Art Academy Awards Ceremony. (VIDEO)

On July 8, 2013, Their Imperial Majesties Emperor Akihito and Empress Michiko of Japan arrived at the Japan Art Academy Hall of Taito in Tokyo to preside over the 2013 Japan Art Academy awards ceremony.  The Japan Art Academy Award is presented to an individual who has made remarkable achievements in the field of art and architecture. 

Afterward, Their Imperial Majesties accompanied by His Imperial Highness Crown Prince Naruhito of Japan and Their Imperial Highnesses Prince Akishino and Princess Kiko of Japan attended “…a tea ceremony, held at the Imperial Palace, with the winners of the Japan Art Academy awards” according to Kyodo News.

His Imperial Highness Crown Prince Naruhito of Japan played the Viola during a concert held at the Metropolitan Art Space in Tokyo with members of the Gakushuin OB Orchestra  this evening.  Their Imperial Majesties Emperor Akihito and Empress Michiko of Japan accompanied by Her Imperial Highness Crown Princess Masako of Japan attended tonight’s concert to support the crown prince.

According to Kyodo News, the Viola used by the crown prince was made of driftwood and a part of the Rikuzentakata “miracle pine tree” that survived the March 11, 2011, tsunami caused by the 9.0 earthquake off the coast of Tōhoku.

His Imperial and Royal Highness Prince Georg Friedrich of Prussia Witnesses the Signing of a Cooperation Agreement.

On Wednesday, July 3, 2013, His Imperial and Royal Highness Prince Georg Friedrich of Prussia witnessed the signing of a cooperation agreement between the German high-tech company, Tridelity AG, and Blue Ocean Technology from China, at Schloss Hohenzollern in Germany.

Tridelity AG manufactures:

“…glasses-free auto-stereoscopic 3-D screens.  The company has been pioneering the development of this cutting-edge technology for years, offering the highest quality 3-D  solutions. In addition to related technologies and services, Tridelity AG also provides an extensive hardware range of solutions for single-viewer and multi-viewer purposes, with unprecedented viewing comfort, exceptional 3-D depth and the highest resolution in the industry.”

Blue Ocean Technology is a supplier of “…well-known manufacturer display screen components.”

Anyway, according to various sources, the two companies came together thanks in part to Prince Georg Friedrich, and the purpose of the signing of the cooperation agreement is to “…introduce, develop and distribute Tridelity AG’s products into the Chinese market.”

Palais PrincierOn the afternoon of July 6, 2013, His Serene Prince Albert II of Monaco arrived at the Sporting d’Hiver in Monte-Carlo to visit the special exhibition, Dangerous Luxury.

The exhibition, designed by the Campana Brothers, was created especially for the 150th anniversary of the Societe des Bains de Mer.  According to the Monaco-based events site, MaBoum, the exhibition:

“…reflects on the concept of luxury in the context of everyday objects. Works combine diamonds, leather and bronze, with natural materials from the Brazilian decorative tradition. The exhibition also features a selection of furniture from the Brazilian Baroque Collection.”

Afterward, the sovereign prince accompanied by Princess Charlene arrived at the Monte-Carlo Beach restaurant where they had a nice lunch on “Le Deck.”
