On December 12, 2013, His Royal Highness Prince Felipe of Asturias arrived at the Auditorio Rafael del Pino in Madrid to attend the XVII Edition of Premios CODESPA.
As Honorary President of Fundación CODESPA the prince presented the award to various individuals and organizations in “…recognition of their contribution to eradicate poverty through projects and charitable initiatives as well as the promotion of social responsibility…” according to the Spanish royal court.
On December 12, 2013, Her Majesty Queen Sofia of Spain attended the launch of Google Cultural Institute’s new app, La Herencia Española en los Estados Unidos de América (Spanish Legacy in the United States of America), at Casa de América in Madrid.
According to the Spanish news agency, EFE, the app “…includes text, images, recreations, photos and maps spanning the centuries from the Spanish colonial epoch up to the present day.”

On Friday, December 13, 2013, His Majesty King Philippe of Belgium visited headquarters of Bruxelles-Propreté a “…waste collecting and recycling service…” in Brussels.
During today’s visit His Majesty met with staff and toured the facility.

On December 13, 2013, His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales arrived in South Wales for a one-day visit.
This morning the prince attended the 125th anniversary celebrations of the Brecon and Radnor Express held at “…the offices of the Abergavenny Chronicle…” according to Clarence House.
In the afternoon, The Prince of Wales visited Tredegar House, attended a reception with supporters of the PRIME (Prince’s Initiative for Mature Enterprise) Cymru mentoring program, and toured the Ewenny Priory church.
