On Wednesday, January 8, 2014, Their Imperial Majesties Emperor Akihito and Empress Michiko of Japan held an audience the Prime Minister of Turkey, Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, and his wife, Mrs. Emine Erdoğan, at the Imperial Palace in Tokyo.  

According to Kyodo News, Prime Minister Erdoğan, his wife, and a Turkish delegation completed their three-day official visit to Japan this afternoon.

On Tuesday, January 7, 2014, His Royal Highness The Duke of Cambridge arrived at St. John’s College at the University of Cambridge to begin his 10-week executive program in Agricultural Management.   

According to Kensington Palace the program:

“…is organized by the Cambridge Program for Sustainability Leadership at the University of Cambridge.  The course [which consists of seminars, lectures and meetings] has been designed to help provide The Duke with an understanding of contemporary issues affecting agricultural business and rural communities in the United Kingdom…”

Her Majesty Queen Margrethe II and His Royal Highness Prince Henrik of Denmark Host the 2014 Nytårskur. (VIDEO)

DenmarkOn Tuesday, January 7, 2014, Her Majesty Queen Margrethe II and His Royal Highness Prince Henrik of Denmark accompanied by Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary of Denmark arrived at Christiansborg Palace in Copenhagen where Her Majesty hosted the 2014 Nytårskur (New Year’s reception).

Today’s reception was held for “…officers from the Defense and the Danish Emergency Management Agency, I., II. and III. rank classes, invited representatives from large national organizations, and those having royal patronage…” according to the Danish royal court.

News Regarding Their Majesties King Abdullah II and Queen Rania of Jordan. (VIDEOS)

On Sunday, January 5, 2013, His Majesty King Abdullah II of Jordan accompanied by His Royal Highness Crown Prince Hussein bin Abdullah II of Jordan presided over the Youth Empowerment Program (YEP) ceremony in Amman.

According to Petra News, the YEP:

“…seeks to enhance the values of democracy, en-root democratic practices in society and push forward the development process.  During the ceremony [His Majesty and the crown prince] watched two films that highlighted the launch of the initiative and subsequent practical measures in its implementation and the winners of the initiative’s first session who represented the sectors of youth and civil society organizations.”

And, finally, this afternoon, Her Majesty Queen Rania of Jordan arrived in Marka where she visited an “…orphan care center at the Hamzah Bin Abdul Muttalib Society.”  

Thereafter, Her Majesty arrived in Amman where she visited the Dar Al Aytam Society.  Whilst there Her Majesty met with “…orphans benefitting from the Dar Al Aytam society and checked on the services they receive from the society and its school.”

QMII & Henrik 2012On Monday, January 6, 2013, Her Majesty Queen Margrethe II and His Royal Highness Prince Henrik of Denmark accompanied by Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary of Denmark hosted the 2014 Nytårskur (New Year’s reception) for the Kongelige Livgardes and Gardehusarregimentets Officerskorps (the Royal Guards and Regiments Officer Corps), and judges from the Danish Supreme Court held at Christian VII’s Palace, Amalienborg, in Copenhagen.

Thereafter, the royal family arrived at Christiansborg Palace where they hosted yet another Nytårskur this time for members of the Diplomatic Corps according to the Danish royal court.

MonacoTheir Serene Highnesses Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene of Monaco visited Mvezo, South Africa (birthplace of the late Mr. Nelson Mandela) on January 1, 2013, where they were given a  tour of the village and the surrounding areas according to the newspaper, Independent Online.
