On the evening of Friday, September 4, 2015, Their Majesties King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia of Sweden accompanied by Their Royal Highnesses Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel of Sweden and Their Royal Highnesses Prince Carl Philip and Princess Sofia of Sweden attended the annual Sverigemiddag (Sweden Dinner) held at the Kungliga Slott in Stockholm.
Over 200 guests from Swedish cultural, business, education, and sport sectors attended this evening’s gala dinner which was established in 2013 on the occasion of His Majesty’s 40th anniversary on the throne.
On Friday, September 4, 2015, His Majesty King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands opened the Museum Engelandvaarders (England Boaters) in Noordwijk.
The permanent exhibition housed at the new museum tells the story of Dutch women and men who escaped from occupied Netherlands during World War II with “…the aim to continue the fight against Nazi Germany and Japan from England. The new national museum is a tribute to the many Engelandvaarders (England Boaters) and to all those who helped them.”
On the evening of September 3, 2015, Her Royal Highness Princess Beatrix of the Netherlands arrived at the Zuiderstrandtheater in Den Haag to attend the dance performance, Free to Move.
Proceeds from this evening’s performance will go to the Prinses Beatrix Spierfonds which is dedicated to “…researching the cause, the treatment of and cure for muscular diseases.”
On Friday, September 4, 2015, the Swedish royal court announced that Her Royal Highness Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden is expecting her second child. The baby is due sometime in March of 2016.

On September 3, 2015, Her Royal Highness Princess Marie of Denmark opened the exhibition, Georg Jensen: Et Eventyr i Dansk Sølv (Georg Jensen: A Tale of Danish Silver), held at the Museet på Koldinghus in Kolding.
Held on the occasion of the 150th anniversary of the birth of the late Georg Jensen this special exhibition takes visitors on a:
“… journey through the stylistic periods, which is presented through pieces of Georg Jensen himself and the many talented designers who has been affiliated with smithies from the beginning and to the present. [The exhibition] opens with an impressive selection of the masters own beautiful jewellery with flora and fauna motives and the hammered hollowware with vigorous decorations.”
On the evening of September 3, 2015, His Majesty King Philippe of Belgium attended the 2016 Qualification Games held at the Stade Roi Baudouin in Brussels.
His Majesty and hundreds of football fans cheered on the Belgium Red Devils as they competed against Bosnia Herzegovina. So who won the match? The Belgium Red Devils of course. 3-1. 🙂
On Thursday, September 3, 2015, His Majesty King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands officially opened the new Koninklijke Gazelle bicycle factory in Dieren.
During today’s opening His Majesty toured the new factory as well as tested out the company’s new electric bike.
