HM Queen Elizabeth II Attends a Horse Show in Scotland.

qeiiOn Sunday, September 13, 2015, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and His Royal Highness The Duke of Edinburgh attended the Longines Fédération Equestre Internationale (FEI) European Eventing Championships held at Blair Castle in Perthshire, Scotland.

According to the Press Association, today’s event was:

“…the final opportunity for European nations to qualify for the Rio 2016 Olympic Games with 80 competitors from 16 nations taking part over four days of competition, in front of a crowd in excess of 60,000.

The event includes international three-day eventing, British Showjumping, Highland Pony showing, Hunter Show, National Pony Society Scotland Finals, Pony Club Games, Ex Racehorses and Ridden Clydesdale Championships.

The event also incorporates the Bruadar Country Fair, with traditional countryside pursuits such as falconry, gundog training, vaulting, dog agility and includes over 200 trade stands.”

After the competition, Her Majesty presented medals to winners (teams and individuals) including Mr. Michael Jung who won the gold medal.

A Royal Gathering in Norway.

Over the weekend Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Haakon and Crown Princess Mette-Marit of Norway hosted a “royal heirs gathering” of sorts at their modest summer home, Mågerø.

Attending the royal get–together were TRHs Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary of Denmark and their four children, HRH Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden and her daughter, HRH Princess Estelle, TRHs Hereditary Grand Duke Guillaume and Hereditary Grand Duchess Stéphanie of Luxembourg, HRH Princess Ingrid Alexandra of Norway, and HH Prince Sverre Magnus of Norway.

Unfortunately, HRH Prince Daniel of Sweden did not attend the gathering.  According to the Norwegian royal court, the prince had a cold.

HM King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands Attends the 2015 ProDemosprijs.

WAKingOn Friday, September 11, 2015, His Majesty King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands attended the 2015 ProDemosprijs (ProDemos Award) held at the Koninklijke Schouwburg in Den Haag.

The ProDemos is:

“…the ‘House for Democracy and the Rule of Law’. The company’s job is to help explain the systems that govern democracy and the rule of law, and to show what citizens themselves can do to exert political influence at municipal, provincial, national and European level.”

The ProDemosprijs is awarded to a citizen who has disinterested made a positive change for Dutch society with his/her project.

(VIDEOS) TMs King Philippe and Queen Mathilde of Belgium Visit the Province of Limburg.

PMBelgiumOn Thursday, September 10, 2015, Their Majesties King Philippe and Queen Mathilde of Belgium made a one-day visit to the province of Limburg.

The day began in the city of Hasselt where Their Majesties visited the campus of the start-up company workspace, Corda INCubator.  In the afternoon, the popular reigning couple visited the city of Maasmechelen where they toured the Vakantiehuis Fabiola.  Whilst there they along with dozens of attendees celebrated the Vakantiehuis Fabiola’s 50th anniversary.  Thereafter, Their Majesties visited Connecterra as well as attended a reception held in their honor at the City Hall.

HM Queen Maxima of the Netherlands Attends a Concert.

On the evening of Thursday, September 10, 2015, Her Majesty Queen Maxima of the Netherlands attended the opening night of the 2015-2016 Koninklijk Concertgebouworkest (Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra) season.

Last night’s concert performance, led by chief conductor Ms. Daniele Gatti, featured multiple Grammy award winner and famed cellist, Mr. Yo-Yo Ma.

HSH Prince Albert II of Monaco Attends an Inauguration in France.

On Thursday, September 10, 2015, His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco attended the inauguration of the Princes de Monaco Promenade in Le Touquet, France. The promenade is dedicated to the sovereign prince’s grandparents and father. There is also a photo exhibition in memory of Prince Albert II’s late mother, HSH Princess Grace of Monaco.

During today’s inauguration the sovereign prince gave speech as well as toured the town of Le Touquet.
