HSH Prince Albert II of Monaco Visits the Yacht Club de Monaco.

On September 16, 2015, His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco arrived at the Yacht Club de Monaco (YCDM) to witness the announcement of British tetraplegic sailor, Mr. Geoff Holt, new Accessible Oceans sailing venture.  Mr. Holt hopes sail around the world solo beginning in the Spring of 2017.

According to a YCDM press release, Mr. Holt has been a:

“…champion for disabled sailing for more than 30 years and his round the world ambition is the next chapter in his vision to make our oceans accessible to all through his charity ‘Accessible Oceans’. Over the years, Geoff has inspired millions with his epic achievements which include being the first disabled person to sail solo round the UK and first tetraplegic to across the Atlantic which he did in 2009.

The voyage will take Geoff to 12 destinations around the world and take an estimated 15 months to complete. Learning from his Atlantic crossing, he will be accompanied by two personal assistants who will assist him with his daily living requirements but will play no part in the sailing. Other disabled sailors may join for different legs of the voyage and a selection process has already begun. A cameraman will also be aboard to document the journey but will play no part in the sailing.” 

HSH Prince Albert II of Monaco Views an Exhibition in Paris, France.

On the morning of Saturday, September 19, 2015, His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco, at the invitation of the Prime Minister of France, Mr. Manuel Valls, viewed an exhibition inside the Salon Rouge at the Hôtel Matignon in Paris, France.

The exhibition, presented during France’s National and Cultural Heritage Days,  is dedicated to the tercentenary of the marriage of Louise-Hippolyte Grimaldi with Prince Jacques de Matignon.

After the viewing the sovereign prince and Prime Minister Valls posed for the international press at the in the garden at the Hôtel Matignon.

 

HRH Prince Harry of Wales Attends the 2015 Rugby World Cup.

On the evening of Friday, September 18, 2015, His Royal Highness Prince Harry of Wales accompanied by Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge attended the 2015 Rugby World Cup opening ceremony held at Twickenham Stadium in London.

Following the opening ceremony hundreds of attendees watched the Pool A match between England and Fiji.

On the evening of September 17, 2015, His Royal Highness The Duke of Cambridge attended the Tusk Trust’s 25th Anniversary Ball held at Syon House in London, England.

Last evening’s glamorous gala honored the conservation charity’s “…impact in the midst of the continuing crisis facing wildlife in Africa.”  The future king of the United Kingdom is Royal Patron of Tusk Trust

(VIDEOS) HM Queen Rania of Jordan Receives an Award.

On Thursday, September 17, 2015, Her Majesty Queen Rania of Jordan received the Walther  Rathenau Prize from the Chancellor of Germany, Ms. Angela Merkel, at the Federal Foreign Office in Berlin, Germany.

Her Majesty received the award for her commitment to peace and understanding between peoples, religions, and between the East and West.   Dr. Werner Hoyer, CEO of the Rathenau Institute, noted that Her Majesty is a “…courageous builder of bridges, her voice internationally is heard against violence and for tolerance across cultural and religious boundaries [which] is needed more than ever, especially in this day and age.”
