On Wednesday, October 28, 2015, Her Majesty Queen Margrethe II of Denmark and Her Royal Highness Crown Princess Mary of Denmark unveiled the new 2015 Julemærket (Christmas Seal) at inside the Ballroom at the Københavns Rådhus.
For the third time Her Majesty designed the popular Julemærket. Proceeds from the sale of the Julemærket go to “…Denmark’s four Christmas Seal homes, where roughly 750 children each year take up residence. Here they get help to deal with various problems such as bullying and loneliness…” according to the Danish royal court.
On Wednesday, October 28, 2015, Her Royal Highness Princess Beatrix of the Netherlands arrived at the Doopsgezinde Gemeente (Mennonite Church) in Haarlem to celebrate the 90th anniversary of the organization, Simavi.
During today’s celebration the princess attended a symposium which discussed the history of the organization as well as viewed the exhibition at De Gang entitled, Voorkómen is beter, 90 jaar Simavi, by photojournalist Mr. Raymond Rutting.
On Tuesday, October 27, 2015, Her Royal Highness Crown Princess Mary of Denmark accompanied by representatives from the Mary Fonden, attended a conference held at the Idrættens Hus in Brøndby.
The focus/theme of today’s conference: Welfare in Recreational Life.
After today’s event the crown princess gave an interview with TV2 journalist, Mr. Jes Dorph.
On Tuesday, October 27, 2015, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales hosted a reception at St. James’s Palace in London, England.
This afternoon’s gathering brought together “…representatives from the network of organizations and charities that comprise the Commonwealth Organizations ahead of the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM)…” according to the British royal court.
On the morning of October 27, 2015, His Majesty King Felipe VI of Spain arrived at the Palacio Municipal de Congresos in Madrid to officially open the conference, Madrid+10: Preventing and Countering Violent Extremism.
According to a press release the two-day conference mobilizes:
“…policy makers, opinion formers, civil society and grassroots organizations around the concept of preventing and countering radicalization and violent extremism, increasing public engagement and promoting grassroots initiatives.”
On Tuesday, October 27, 2015, Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cambridge visited the charity, Chance UK, at the Islington Town Hall in London, England.
During her visit the lovely duchess met with mentors and children from the charity as well as “…learned about the charity’s early intervention child mentoring program…” according to Kensington Palace.
On the morning of October 20, 2015, His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco arrived at Larvotto Marine Reserve off the coast of Monte-Carlo to participate in a dive on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the Association Monégasque pour la Protection de la Nature (Monégasque Association for the Protection of Nature).
During Tuesday’s dive a wreath was placed onto an underwater monument in memory of founder, Mr. Eugène Bernardi.
