On January 30, 2013, Her Majesty Queen Silvia of Sweden visited the Silviaskolans, a school that is “…equipped for the hearing impaired…”, in Hässleholm to celebrate their 20th anniversary.

On January 28, 2013, Their Majesties King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia of Sweden attended the Royal Swedish Academy of Agriculture and Forestry’s 200th formal gathering held at the Stockholm City Hall.
Per the Swedish royal court:
“The formal gathering began with President Kerstin Niblaeus welcoming all those present and declaring the gathering open.
The King then gave a speech, in which he said, ‘During the past two hundred years, there have been enormous advances in Swedish agriculture, in terms of both productivity and efficiency. The role of the Academy has also changed over the years.
The authority commissions have disappeared, and the Academy has increasingly become a forum for discussions on topical issues…’”
On January 28, 2013, Her Majesty Queen Silvia of Sweden visited the National Museum in Stockholm to inaugurate the project, Möten med Minnen (Meetings with Memories).
According to the Swedish royal court and AlzheimerFonden, this unique project collaborates with:
“…museums around Sweden to help them create custom applications with interactive views of people with dementia and their families. Möten med Minnen aims to provide stimulus through conversations and discussions about museum collections. The positive experiences at a museum will also help enhance the quality of life of dementia victims.”

On January 27, 2013, Their Royal Highnesses Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel of Sweden attended a memorial service at the Stora Synagogan to “… commemorate the Jewish community in memory of the victims of the Holocaust through a program that holds both memories and looks towards the future. “
His Royal Highness Prince Carl Philip of Sweden presented scholarships from the Prince Bertil and Princess Lilian Sports Foundation on January 22, 2013. According to the Swedish royal court the purpose of the foundation is to “…promote Swedish sports through scholarships to leaders and instructors for training.”

Their Majesties King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia of Sweden along with Her Royal Highness Crown Princess Victoria and Princess Christina, Mrs. Magnuson, attended the seminar, Goda Idéer för en bättre värld: Ett samtal om de Kungliga Stiftelserna, held inside the Bernadotte Library at the royal palace in Stockholm.
According to the Swedish royal court the purpose of today’s event is to, “…provide a greater insight into the royal foundations and get more applicants.”
