News Regarding Members of the Swedish Royal Family. (VIDEO)

SwedenVictoriaDanielOn Friday, May 3, 2013, Their Royal Highnesses Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel of Sweden continued their visit to the province of Västra Götaland.  Today, the royal couple visited Fryshuset in Göteborg and Bräcke Östergård.

Meanwhile, Their Majesties King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia of Sweden toured Uppsala County according to the Swedish royal court.  The reigning couple visited a dairy farm in Harbo, visited the companies Sublift AB, Svensk Kärnbränslehanterings (SKB), and Industrial Hydraulics AB, toured the town of Östhammar where Their Majesties toured the Town Hall Square, and finally attended a dinner at Uppsala Slott.

Their Royal Highnesses Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel of Sweden are currently on a two-day visit to the Västra Götaland province in Sweden.  Today, the lovely royal couple visited the medieval castle known as Läckö Slott “…located on the shores of  Lake Vänern…” where they were warmly greeted by the locals and officials.  Afterward, the royal couple visited Vänerskärgården where they opened Victoriahuset and attended a lovely dinner at the “… residence in Göteborg.”

 

News Regarding TMs King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia of Sweden.

swedenOn Tuesday, April 30, 2013, His Majesty King Carl XVI Gustaf of Sweden celebrated his 67th birthday in the outer courtyard at the royal palace in Stockholm.

During the celebrations hundreds of Swedes came out to wish His Majesty a very happy birthday while the Marinens Musikkår and the Arméns Musikkår played traditional music according to the Swedish royal court.

On Monday, His Majesty accompanied by Her Majesty Queen Silvia of Sweden held a diplomatic reception at the royal palace for newly appointed ambassadors from Australia, Botswana, Guatemala, Switzerland, Slovakia and Pakistan.

The Swedish Royal Court Releases New Details About the Upcoming Wedding Between HRH Princess Madeline of Sweden and Mr. Christopher O’Neill.

PMCO2012Per the Swedish Royal Court:

“The wedding between Her Royal Highness Princess Madeleine and Mr. Christopher O’Neill takes place on Saturday, June 8 at. 16:00 in the Slottskyrkan (royal chapel) at the Royal Palace in Stockholm. 

June 7 

Wedding celebration starts on Friday, June 7 with a private dinner for invited guests.

Location: Grand Hôtel, Stockholm Host: The Royal Couple On June 8 

The ceremony will take place on Saturday, June 8 at. 16:00 in the Slottskyrkan. After the wedding ceremony will salute of 21 shots with five seconds between each shot from Skeppsholmen.

The bridal couple will travel in a procession by horse and carriage from the Royal Palace to Riddarholmen. Motorcade runs along the Yttre Borggården, Slottsbacken, Skeppsbron, Strömbron, Strömgatan, Norrbro, Slottskajen, Myntgatan and Wrangelska Backen to Evert Taubes terrace Riddarholmen.

From Evert Taubes terrace Riddarholmen sailing for the couple, and the invited guests by boat to Drottningholm Palace for dinner.

Armed Forces parade along the procession route and on arrival at Drottningholm.”

The Swedish network, SVT, will broadcast the royal wedding live on June 8, 2013.

 

News Regarding Their Majesties King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia of Sweden.

swedenOn April 23, 2013, His Majesty King Carl XVI Gustaf of Sweden attended a ceremony at the royal palace in Stockholm where he presented the Svenska Sällskapet för Antropologi och Geografi 2013 Anders Retzius Gold Medal to Anthropologist and West Chester University Professor, Paul Stoller.  Professor Stoller received this prestigious award for his …important contributions to anthropological research.”

Earlier in the day, His Majesty accompanied by Her Majesty Queen Silvia of Sweden hosted a lunch for Minister of Equality, Ms. Maria Arnholm.

News Regarding Her Royal Highness Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden.

CPVictoriaHer Royal Highness Crown Princess Victoria attended the Swedish Association of Environmental Managers’ Sustainability Day in Stockholm this afternoon.  During today’s event the crown princess presented the Sustainable Leadership Award to Mr. Peter Norman, the Minister for Financial Markets.  Ms. Emma Ihre accepted the award on behalf of Mr. Norman who was unable to attend.

His Majesty King Carl XVI Gustaf of Sweden Participates in a Clean Up Day on the Island of Djurgården.

HMCGHis Majesty King Carl XVI Gustaf of Sweden accompanied by 200 members of the Scouts did their civic duty of cleaning up parts of island of Djurgården in Stockholm.  Basically, they picked up trash and hopefully His Majesty reminded people not to litter.  Why?  Because it’s not cool to throw trash any where one pleases; furthermore, there is a reason why trash cans were invented.
