On November 12, 2013, His Majesty King Juan Carlos I of Spain held an audience at Palacio de La Zarzuela with representatives from the Consejo de Dirección del partido Unión Progreso y Democracia.
On November 11, 2013, His Royal Highness Prince Felipe of Asturias arrived at the Centro de Congresos Príncipe Felipe in Madrid to preside over the 7th Conferencia del Programa Marco de Investigación e Innovación de la Unión Europea en España. The theme of this year’s conference is Horizonte 2020: Del Conocimiento a la Innovación.
On November 11, 2013, Her Majesty Queen Sofia of Spain arrived at the Centro Cultural Conde Duque in Madrid to attend the inauguration of a special exhibition in celebration of the Agencia Española de Cooperación Internacional para el Desarrollo (AECID).
The exhibition displays the history of “…works done by the AECID within the last 25 years.”

On the evening of November 7, 2013, Her Majesty Queen Sofia of Spain arrived at the Hotel Occidental Miguel Ángel in Madrid to attend the Federación Española de Bancos de Alimentos (FESBAL) award ceremony.
During the event Her Majesty, on behalf of the Fundación Reina Sofía, recieved the 2013 Premio Espiga de Oro for the foundation’s support for “…those in need in our country [Spain] through the FESBAL…”

On the evening of November 6, 2013, Their Royal Highnesses Prince Felipe and Princess Letizia of Asturias arrived at the Ritz Hotel in Madrid to preside over the XXX Edición del Premio de Periodismo Francisco Cerecedo ceremony.
This evening’s ceremony honored Spanish journalist and editor, Mr. Xavier Vidal-Folch, for his reporting and analysis of the economic and moral crisis in Spain and Europe according to the Spanish royal court.
