Random Royal News Regarding His Royal Highness Prince Carl-Philip of Sweden and H.R.H. Prince Emanuele Filiberto of Savoy
On January 25, 2012, His Royal Highness Prince Carl Philip of Sweden attended the 2012Â Ă
rets Kock (Chef of the Year) Award held at the Stockholm Waterfront.  The winner of the award receives the Gastronomic Academy Dairy Medal and the title of, well, Chef of the Year.  The winner this year was Klas Lindberg.
Meanwhile, His Royal Highness Prince Emanuele Filiberto of Savoy revealed to an Italian magazine that he had a tumor up his nose.
In early December 2011, the Italian prince without a throne was hospitalized in Geneva to remove the problem and as a result the doctors “…removed three quarters of the cartilage in his nose and part of his bone…”  Today, Prince Emanuele is doing great and continues to film his reality show which airs in Italy.  To read more about the prince’s hospital stay in Geneva please click here.Â

Royal Exhibitions 2012
If you happen to live or plan on visiting Europe in the coming months there are several fantastic royal exhibits that are about to open in Denmark, Germany and England.
At Rosenborg Slot in Denmark the royal jewels exhibition entitled, Pearls: A Royal Splendor, Modern Design, begins on February 11 – May 28, 2012. Â According to the official website for the Royal Danish Collections this exhibit will:
…inform you about what a pearl actually is and introduce you to Akoya, Tahitian, and South Sea pearls. The exhibition provides, on the one hand, cultural historical insight through historical artefacts and ornaments, and on the other shows new, unique, creative ideas for pearl creations. source

In Potsdam, Germany there is an exhibit dedicated to the late King Friedrich II entitled, Friedrich der GroĂe.  This exhibition, held at the Neues Palais and Sanssouci Park, begins on April 28 – October 28, 2012.  To learn more about this exhibition please  click here.Â
And finally, in Nottinghamshire, England the exhibition, Monarchy: Icons and Imagery of Royalty, will go on display at the Southwell Minster.  The exhibit begins on May 19-June 17, 2012.  Click here for more information.Â

Random Royal News Regarding H.R.H. Crown Prince Frederik of Denmark, H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco, the Duke and Duchess of VendĂŽme, and the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.
On Friday, January 20, 2012, His Royal Highness Crown Prince Frederik of Denmark was in Innsbruck, Austria to attend the 2012 Winter Youth Olympic Games. Â The heir to the Danish throne was there to support the Danish team participating in the men’s speed skating competition.
Meanwhile, His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco was in St. Moritz to participate in the 2012 Historic Bobsleigh Race.  Unfortunately, the event was cancelled due to bad weather.  When asked about his lovely wife, Princess Charlene, the prince noted that she was in Milan, Italy on business as well as to do a little shopping.  Click here to view photos. Â
On January 22, 2012, the prince was in Patscherkofel, Austria where he attended the Two-Women Bobsleigh Race, as part of the 2012 Winter Youth Olympic Games, held at the Olympic Sliding Centre.  Click here to view photos.  Prince Albert also attended the Two-Men Bobsleigh Race when Monégasques, Rudy Rinaldi and  Jeremy Torre, won the bronze medal for Team Monaco.
During yesterday’s memorial Mass for the late King Louis XVI at the LâĂ©glise Saint Germain lâAuxerrois in Paris, a spokesperson for the Duke and Duchess of VendĂŽme confirmed that the Duchess will give birth at any moment.  This will be the couple’s second child.  Click here for more information.
On January 19, 2012, the lovely Princess Clotilde of Venice and Piedmont attended L’Uomo Vogue magazine’s exhibition entitled, Covers, held at Sotheby’s in Paris, France.  Click here to view photos.
And, finally, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are currently on holiday on the island of Mustique in the Caribbean.  Joining the royal couple are the Duchess’s parents, Carole and Mike Middleton.  Apparently, this family getaway has caused a bit of an uproar… click here for more information. TRC

Random Royal News Regarding T.R.H.s Prince Willem-Alexander of Oranje and Princess Maxima of the Netherlands, T.I.R.H.s Prince Georg Friedrich and Princess Sophie of Prussia as well as H.R.H. Prince Carl-Philip of Sweden
On January 11, 2012, Their Royal Highnesses Prince Willem-Alexander of Oranje and Princess Maxima of the Netherlands sold their luxurious villa in Mozambique “for a significant amount of money” “for a symbolic price.”    Click here to watch a video news clip. (in Dutch).
Also, on January 13-16, 2012, Â Prince Willem-Alexander attended the 2012 Winter Youth Olympic Games in Innsbruck, Austria. Â As a member of the IOC, it was his duty as well as pleasure to support the Dutch team.
Meanwhile, on January 16, 2012, Their Imperial and Royal Highnesses Prince Georg Friedrich and Princess Sophie of Prussia were at Schloss Bellevue in Berlin, Germany where they attended a dinner to celebrate the 300th anniversary of the birth of one of Germany’s most famous monarchs, King Friedrich II of Prussia.  Click here to view photos.Â
And finally on January 16, 2012, His Royal Highness Prince Carl-Philip of Sweden attended the Swedish Sports Gala held at the Ericsson Globe in Stockholm. Â The prince was to be accompanied by His Royal Highness Prince Daniel; however, the prince could not attend at the last-minute due to the stomach flu according to the royal house of Sweden spokeswoman, Ulrika NĂ€sholm.

Random Royal News Starring H.R.H. Crown Princess Mary of Denmark, H.R.H. Prince Carl-Philip’s Controversial Girlfriend, Sofia Hellqvist, T.S.H.s Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene of Monaco
Earlier this week Her Royal Highness Crown Princess Mary was seen having a little retail therapy with her personal stylist, Anja Alajdi, in Copenhagen.  The future Queen of Denmark and her stylist who resembles Canadian singer, K.D. Lang, purchased various items from stores such as Gucci, Christian Louboutin, Mulberry, and Rue Verte to name a few.
Meanwhile, His Royal Highness Prince Carl-Philip of Sweden’s controversial girlfriend, Sofia Hellqvist, had lunch with the President of Finland, Tarja Halonen, and other VIPs recently.  I sense that a royal engagement between the prince and the former reality television star/model will happen in 2012.  Click here  to view photos.
And, finally the slightly sleazy newspaper, New York Post, claims that Their Serene Highnesses Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene of Monaco are currently on holiday in Antigua where they “…lunch[ed] at the exclusive Lighthouse Bay Resort and relaxed on the beach.â Â
It was also revealed that the lovely princely couple spent some time at the Yasawa Resort and Spa (where they filmed the movie, The Blue Lagoon, starring Brooke Shields) in Fiji last year.  Apparently, the prince and princess, “…decided on a Fiji trip during a break in the Rugby World Cup…”
According to Marie Berg of Tour Pacific, Prince Albert and Princess Charlene, “…had a fantastic time at the exclusive resort… [and enjoyed] the long deserted beaches, peace and quiet, elegant spa facilities, and the amazing snorkeling.” Captain Brian, from the company Captain Cook Cruises, noted on his blog that he and his passengers, “…had the opportunity to meet the princely couple whilst the Yasawa Islands. On an excursion into local villages on the main island, Prince Albert thrilled local children with a visit to the Ratu Namasi School, and the sport-loving prince even played touch rugby with some of the students.” source and P.I.N.
