Also on Thursday His Majesty “…received a phone call from Egyptian President, Mr. Mohammad Morsi, in which they discussed Egypt’s efforts to support inter-Palastinian reconciliation…”  Again, please click here to read an article from Petra News.

And, finally, it was announced that Her Majesty Queen Rania of Jordan will give a keynote speech during the “… inaugural Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week at the opening ceremony of the 6th Annual World Future Energy Summit and 1st International Water Summit…” on January 15, 2013.

According to a press release the Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week will take place on January 13-17 and is the:

“… largest gathering on sustainability in the history of the Middle East and will address the interconnected challenges that affect the global adoption of renewable energy, water security and sustainable development.

Her Majesty’s participation at Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week underscores the growing commitment to renewable energy and sustainable development by Jordan and other countries throughout the Middle East.”

His Majesty King Abdullah of Jordan held an audience with United States Senator, Mr. Rand Paul in Amman on January 8, 2013.  Discussions focused on the crisis in Syria as well as “… efforts to achieve Palestinian-Israeli peace…”

Recently, His Majesty King Abdullah of Jordan met with Israeli Prime Minister, Mr. Benjamin Netanyahu at a secret location in Jordan.  According to various sources the secret meeting “… focused on the possibility that the President of Syria would use chemical weapons against rebels in the troubled country [Syria]…”  Click here to read an article from the Irish Times.
