On the evening of January 24, 2013, Her Majesty Queen Rania of Jordan participated in a panel discussion entitled, The Global Development Outlook, during the 43rd World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.
Joining Her Majesty during yesterday’s panel were the British Prime Minister, Mr. David Cameron, philanthropist and Microsoft co-founder, Mr. Bill Gates, and the Secretary General of the United Nations, Mr. Ban Ki-moon to name a few.

On January 23, 2013, the Jordanian royal court released a statement regarding His Majesty King Abdullah of Jordan’s recent participation in the 3rd Arab Economic and Social Development Summit held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Click hereto read an article from the Jordan Times.
And, finally, the Petra News Agency is reporting that His Majesty spoke with French President, Mr. François Hollande, today regarding “… bilateral ties as well as regional developments.”

Meanwhile, in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, the 3rd Arab Economic and Social Development Summit began this morning. His Majesty King Abdullah is expected to participate in this two-day event along with His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum of Dubai as well as important officials from Qatar, Oman, and Bahrain.

It was announced by Jordanian royal court that His Majesty King Abdullah of Jordan will attend the 2013 Arab Economic and Social Development Summit on January 21, 2013 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
According to the Saudi Arabia Ministry of Foreign Affairs website the upcoming summit is:
“… within the Arab League’s framework to develop joint Arab effort and to support developmental issues in economic and social fields which were neglected due to the intense focus on political issues and crises. This summit is also an extension of the joint Arab work on developing social and economic fields as well as enhancing and improving means of cooperation between Arab countries.”

Her Majesty Queen Rania of Jordan gave a keynote speech during the opening ceremony of the 6th Annual World Future Energy Summit during Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week.
In her speech Her Majesty, “… highlighted the importance of long-term sustainable solutions and addressed energy needs and powering sustainable development globally.”
