His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco Presents Medals to the Winners of the Women’s Pole Vault. Plus, Other News.

On Monday, August 7, 2012, His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco was at the Olympic Stadium in London to present medals to the winners of the Women’s Pole Vault Final.

Ms. Jennifer Suhr of Team USA won the gold while Ms. Silvia Yarisley of Team Cuba won the silver.  Ms. Yelena Isinbayeva of Team Russian Federation won the bronze.

In other news, the sovereign prince attended the Men’s Triathlon yesterday morning to cheer on Mr. Herve Banti of Team Monaco.  Mr. Banti came in 49th place with a time of 1:52.42.

And, finally, tonight the sovereign prince may attend the highly anticipated Women’s Gold Match in Beach Volleyball.  Why?  Well, according to the sovereign prince he is a big fan of Beach Volleyball and has been to several matches during these Summer Olympic Games.

Anyway, Misty May-Treanor and Kerri Walsh-Jennings will compete against April Ross and Jen Kessy.  If you haven’t figured it out by now the match is Team USA vs Team USA.  Or, as many have been referring to the upcoming match “The SoCal Showdown”.

His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco and Members of the Dutch Royal Family Enjoy the London Olympics.

After watching various Track and Field events this morning at the Olympic Stadium in London, His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco headed on over to Greenwich Park to meet up with Their Royal Highnesses Prince Willem-Alexander of Oranje and Princess Maxima of the Netherlands.

The longtime friends cheered on Team Netherlands as they participated in the Equestrian events of Individual and Team Jumping.  Once again, Team Netherlands can proudly take home another medal.  The team won the silver medal in the Team Jumping Final. While Team GB won the gold medal and Team Saudi Arabia captured the bronze.

Congrats to the winners!   🙂

During the medal ceremony His Royal Highness Prince Nawaf Faisal Fahd Abdulaziz of Saudi Arabia presented the medals to the winners.

His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco Enjoys Day 9 of the London Olympics.

On the evening of August 5, 2012, His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco along with the Secretary General of the Monaco International Committee, Ms. Yvette Lambin-Berti watched various Track and Field events held at the Olympic Stadium in London.

Also in attendance were His Royal Highness Prince Michael of Kent, Their Royal Highnesses Prince Willem-Alexander of Oranje and Princess Maxima of the Netherlands along with their daughters, Their Royal Highnesses the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, and third wheel (I’m kidding) His Royal Highness Prince Harry of Wales to name a few.

So what events did they royals enjoy this evening?  Well, they watched, with utter amazement I’m sure, as Mr. Usain Bolt of Team Jamaica won the gold medal in the Men’s 100m Final.  His time: 9.63 seconds!  Wow!!

Mr. Yohan Blake of Team Jamaica came in second place with a time of 9.75.  While Mr. Justin Gatlin came in third with a time of 9.79.

Another highly anticipated event of the evening was the Women’s 400m Final.  Ms. Sanya Richards-Ross of Team USA won the gold medal.  Her time: 49.55.  Ms. Christine Ohuruogu of Team GB won the silver medal and Ms. Dee Dee Trotter of Team USA  won the bronze medal.

On the evening of August 3, 2012, Their Serene Highnesses Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene of Monaco attended the Bal de la Croix-Rouge Monégasque held at inside the Salle Des Etoiles at the Sporting de Monte-Carlo. Also, in attendance were dozens of Monégasque government officials, Mr. Gareth Wittstock and his beautiful girlfriend, Roisin, the sovereign prince’s cousin, Mr. Chris Le Vine and his lovely wife, Baroness Elizabeth-Anne de Massy and her daughter, Melanie-Antoinette, Camilla of Bourban-Two Sicilies, Duchess of Castro and her husband Charles as well as hundreds of heavily tanned billionaires and millionaires with incredibly white teeth.

Guests paid up to 1,000 Euros to attend this famous gala ball which raises money for the Red Cross.  The theme this year is “technological contemporary” (what ever that means) with the Salle des Etoiles decorated in “… black, red and white tones.”  Apparently, over 8,000 black roses as well as white orchids filled the entire room.  Amazing!   🙂

This years musicals guests include former drug addict and now sober, Boy George, and an acoustic set by the aging rock band The Scorpions to name a few.  Also, during tonight’s ball there was a “…tombola… the top prize a diamond encrusted brooch by Repossi…” according to the Monaco Times.

Enjoy watching Prince Albert boogie on the dance floor whilst lip syncing to Hues Corporation’s “Rock the Boat”   🙂 

Her Serene Highness Princess Charlene of Monaco Visits Deutsches Haus in London. (VIDEOS)

On Wednesday evening Her Serene Highness Princess Charlene of Monaco visited Deutsches Haus in London along with former Olympic swimmer and close friend, Ms. Franziska van Almsick.

The two friends visited Deutsches Haus to celebrate the accomplishments of Team Germany so far in the 2012 Summer Olympic Games… if that makes any sense.

Other guests who attended last night’s party included German government officials, Tennis star Boris Becker, and Team Germany gymnast Marcel Nguyen who just won the silver medal in the Men’s Individual All-Around to name a few.

Their Serene Highnesses Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene of Monaco Enjoy Day 5 of the London Olympics

Their Serene Highnesses Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene of Monaco were back at the Aquatic Center in London on August 1, 2012, to enjoy eight swimming heats.  

The princely couple watched with much interest as South African swimmer, Ms. Suzaan van Biljon, competed in the Women’s 200m Breaststroke Semi-Finals.  She finished 3rd with a time of 2:23.21.  

Thereafter the Men’s 200m Individual Medley began with South African swimmer Chad Le Clos participating.  He finished 5th with a time of 1:58.49.

On July 31, 2012, Her Serene Highness Princess Charlene of Monaco was at the Aquatic Center in London to watch various swimming competitions.  The one event that everyone was anticipating, including the princess, was the Men’s 200m Butterfly Final.

The best of the best competed:  Michael Phelps of Team USA, Takeshi Matsuda of Team Japan, Yin Chen of Team China, Pawl Korzeniowski of Team Poland, Tyler Clary of Team USA, Dinko Jukic of Team Austria, and Chad Le Clos of Team South Africa.

Anyway, before the race began many believed one of the greatest athletes ever, Michael Phelps, would win.  He didn’t.  The winner was Chad Le Clos of Team South Africa with a time of 1:52.96.  Mr. Phelps came in at 1:53.01.

So yeah… Princess Charlene was there to cheer on Chad’s amazing swim along his family, friends, and dozens of Team South Africa fans.  Oh and Prince Albert was there as well as members of the Grand Ducal family of Luxembourg including Comtesse Stéphanie de Lannoy.   🙂
