Recently, His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco along with Her Royal Highness Princess Caroline of Hanover and Andrea and Pierre Casiraghi visited the USS Mount Whitney docked at Port Hercule in Monaco.

Guests in attendance during the gala included Her Royal Highness Princess Caroline of Hanover, His Serene Highness Prince Hans-Adam II of Liechtenstein, Andrea and Pierre Casiraghi, local government officials as well as Monégasque VIPs.
Earlier in the day, the princely family attended a medal and award ceremony in the courtyard of the Palais Princier, and watched a military parade in front of the palais. Afterward, there was an official luncheon held inside the Salle du Trône in celebration of Fête Nationale 2012.
On November 16, 2012, His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco awarded the 2012 Monaco Media Prize to Kickstarter, “… the world’s largest funding platform for creative projects.”
