HSH Prince Albert II of Monaco Meets with the Prime Minister of Montenegro. (VIDEOS)

On the late afternoon of June 20, 2013, His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco met with the Prime Minister of Montenegro, Mr. Milo Đukanović, at Villa Gorica in Podgorica.  After the meeting, according to the official website for the Government of Montenegro, the sovereign prince and Prime Minister Đukanović witnessed the signing of a “…cooperation protocol agreement on sustainable development and tourism…” between the government of Montenegro and the government of Monaco.

In the evening, Prince Albert II and his delegation arrived at the Presidential Palace in Cetinje to attend an official dinner hosted by President Filip Vujanović.

His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco Visits Montenegro.

Palais PrincierOn June 20, 2013, His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco arrived at the Presidential Palace in Cetinje, Montenegro to meet with President Filip Vujanovic.  I have no idea, at this time, what the prince and the president spoke about, but I am sure it was extremely important. Or, perhaps discussed who their favorite football team is and why.  Who knows.   🙂

Anyway, after his meeting the sovereign prince attended a “…signing of a cooperation agreement between the Montenegrin Chamber of Commerce and the Chamber of Economic Development of Monaco…” according to the Palais Princier.

Early yesterday evening, Prince Albert II’s personal foundation, Fondation Prince Albert II de Monaco (FPA), signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Foundation Petrović Njegoš.  According to the official website for the FPA:

The Foundation Petrović Njegoš and the Fondation Prince Albert II de Monaco, aware of their complementarities in the fields of research, science and environmental protection, wished to define the bases of their collaboration. Through this partnership, these two entities are committed to acting jointly by:  

  • co-supporting projects in their common fields and geographical areas of action
  • sharing experiences and producing common tools for capitalization and knowledge development. 

This agreement was signed by Ms Tania Turquin Spicanovic, Vice-President of the Foundation Petrović Njegoš and H.E. Mr Bernard Fautrier, Vice-President and Chief Executive Officer of the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation.

The first illustration of this partnership will be the cofounding of the ‘Information Centre for Education and Promotion of Skadar Lake’, a project whose aim is to protect an endangered species: the Dalmatian pelican.”

News Regarding His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco.

SAS le Prince AlbertOn Wednesday, June 19, 2013, His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco attended the 5th Israeli Presidential Conference Facing Tomorrow: The Human Factor in Shaping Tomorrow in Jerusalem, Israel.

During today’s conference the sovereign prince attended the morning plenary session entitled, Has Traditional Media Been Caught in the Web? Afterward, Prince Albert II participated in the plenary session entitled, Is There Hope for a Green Tomorrow, along with the Executive Director of the United Nations World Food Program, Ms. Ertharin Cousin, the Director of the Yale Center for the Study of Globalization, Professor Ernesto Zedillo, and the founder of Better Place, Mr. Shai Agassi.

On Tuesday, June 18, 2013, Her Serene Highness Princess Charlene of Monaco arrived at the Hôtel de Paris in Monte-Carlo to attend the 2013 Ecole Internationale de Monaco graduation ceremony.  For a second year in a row the lovely princess presented diplomas to the happy graduates.

And, finally, this afternoon on the occasion Fête des Sports Princess Charlene presented medals to young participants of the ASM Natation, ASM Rugby and ASM Danse Sportive held at the Mairie de Monaco according to the Palais Princier.

His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco Visits Jerusalem, Israel.

alOn June 18, 2013, His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco arrived in Jerusalem, Israel to attend the 90th birthday celebrations for the President of Israel, Mr. Shimon Peres, and to participate in the 5th Israeli Presidential Conference Facing Tomorrow: The Human Factor in Shaping Tomorrow.

The three-day conference will focus on the:

“…special emphasis to the human factor and its role in shaping our tomorrow. We will ask whether the quality of leadership – in all realms of human activity – can make a difference. What is the desired dynamic in relationships between people and leaders in the face of powerful processes of change? To what degree can human beings really be involved in influencing their futures? We will examine what threats may lie in an individual’s tomorrow, in terms of identity, family, health, ability to find happiness, and meaning in life.” 

Prior to the sovereign prince’s attendance at  President Peres birthday celebrations this evening he had a chance to visit the famous Yad Vashem Holocaust Memorial Museum in Jerusalem.  Whilst there Prince Albert II toured the Hall of Names as well as placed a wreath in the Hall of Remembrance.
