News Regarding His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco. (VIDEO)

PalaisPrincierdeMonacoOn January 21, 2014, His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco honored members of the Sûreté Publique de Monaco (public safety hence law enforcement) during a ceremony at the Sûreté Publique headquarters.

Anyway, during the ceremony the sovereign prince gave a lovely speech thanking the men as well as women for their hard work and for basically being awesome.  Here is snippet of what the sovereign prince had to say (rough translation, sorry):

“…[the] statistics of the Directorate of Public Safety for the past year [have been] very positive.

These good results are undoubtedly the result of the daily commitment of the forces of the order on the ground. By its deterrent presence and interventions when necessary Monaco police brings to our country security to which aspire residents and people who come into our territory.

This effective work of the forces of the order is the result of close relations with the economic actors and the population itself.

The public safety of Monaco developed relationships of trust and listen with economic operators. Through constant exchanges, they were sensitized on the provisions to better protect themselves as well as the various forms of crime to which they might face…”

Prince Albert II of Monaco Attends a Ceremony in Paris. Plus, Other News. (VIDEO)

palaisprincierOn Friday, January 17, 2014, His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco arrived at the Hôtel des Arts et Métiers  in Paris, France to attend a “…diplomatic corps ceremony…”  

In other news, the Palais Princier issued a press release regarding the upcoming construction of the extension on the sea:

“H.S.H. Prince Albert selected Bouygues Travaux Publics, a group with which the Monégasque government will begin negotiating construction of the extension on the sea at Le Portier.

Two groups remained on the short list: Bouygues Travaux Publics and Vinci Concessions, respectively first and second after a preliminary selection by the Administrative Departments concerned.

These major groups were selected for their know-how, technical competency and the financial guarantees necessary to complete this project.

From now on, a period not exceeding 18 months will begin at the end of which the State and the selected Group will have to find a final agreement on the full construction project.”

almonacoOn Sunday, January 19, 2014, His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco accompanied by Her Serene Highness Princess Stephanie of Monaco along with her two daughters, Miss Pauline Ducruet, and Miss Camille Gottlieb, and well-known French journalist, historian, and close friend of the princely family, Mr. Stéphane Bern, attended the fourth day of the 38th Festival International du Cirque de Monte-Carlo held at the Chapiteau de Fontvieille.

palaisprincierOn the evening of January 16, 2014, Their Serene Highnesses Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene of Monaco accompanied by Her Serene Highness Princess Stephanie of Monaco and her daughter, Miss Pauline Ducruet, arrived at the Chapiteau de Fontvieille to attend the opening of the 38th Festival International du Cirque de Monte-Carlo.

Her Royal Highness Princess Caroline of Hanover Attends a Benefit Concert. (VIDEO)

On January 13, 2014, the Fondation Tumulong and l’AMADE Monaco hosted a benefit concert, under the patronage of Her Royal Highness Princess Caroline of Hanover, at the Musée Océanographique de Monaco.

The concert entitled, Concert for the Philippines, raised money for the victims affected by Typhoon Haiyan (Yolanda) which ravaged the island nation, killing as well as injuring thousands on November 8, 2013.
