On February 18, 2014, His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco arrived in Baku, Azerbaijan, for a brief visit.
This morning the sovereign prince held a meeting with the President of Azerbaijan, Mr. Ilham Aliyev. According to the news agency, APA, discussions focused on “…ways of developing the relations between Azerbaijan and Monaco and the 2015 European Games which will be held in Azerbaijan…”
Thereafter, Prince Albert II arrived at the Heydar Aliyev Center where he viewed the exhibition, Fly to Baku: Contemporary Art from Azerbaijan. The sovereign prince then held a meeting with First Lady Heydar Aliyev.

On February 17, 2014, His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco held a meeting with the President of the International Olympic Committee, Mr. Thomas Bach, in Sochi, Russia.
During today’s meeting the sovereign prince and Mr. Bach discussed the upcoming extraordinary IOC session to be held in Monaco in December 2014 according to the Palais Princier.
On Friday, February 14, 2014, Her Royal Highness Princess Caroline of Hanover, as President of the Association Mondiale des Amis de l’enfance (AMADE) visited the Hospital Gaslini in Genoa, Italy.
The purpose for her visit was to “…donate laser equipment to the hospital to treat at least 300 children through surgical interventions of precision in the field of pediatric dermatology.”
In the evening, the lovely princess arrived at the Stock Exchange Palace where she along with hundreds of guests attended the AMADE charity gala dinner.
On Friday, February 14, 2014, His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco presented Gold, Silver and Bronze medals to the winners of the Team Luge Relay during the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympic Games.
Prior to the medal ceremony the sovereign prince cheered on Monégasque alpine skier, Mr. Olivier Jenot, when he participated in the Men’s Downhill skiing event thingy. Anyway, Mr. Jenot placed second. Well done. 🙂
And, finally, on February 12, 2014, Prince Albert II attended the Alpine Skiing Women’s Downhill held at the Rosa Khutor Alpine Center in Sochi.
On Sunday, February 9, 2014, Their Serene Highnesses Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene of Monaco arrived at the Stade Louis II in Monaco to attend the French Ligue 1 football match between AS Monaco and Paris Saint-Germain (PSG).
Recently, His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco sat down for an interview with AS Monaco TV to talk about the AS Monaco Football Club (hence soccer) and a bunch of other stuff. Or, something like that… 🙂

In other news, the sovereign prince will visit amazing San Francisco on Monday, February 24, 2014. The purpose for his visit: To discuss “…the State of the Oceans in a Modern World and his commitment to the environment…” according to various press releases. The lecture will take place at the InterContinental Mark Hopkins Hotel.
On the evening of Tuesday, February 4, 2014, His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco arrived at the Zimny Theater in Sochi, Russia to attend the 126th openingsession of the International Olympic Committee. Also, in attendance was His Royal Highness Grand Duke Henri of Luxembourg.
Earlier in the day, Her Royal Highness The Princess Royal met with the President of Russia, Mr. Vladimir Putin, as will as with the President of the International Olympic Committee, Mr. Thomas Bach, during a welcoming ceremony at the Rus Hotel ahead of the Sochi Winter Olympics.
