Pope Benedict XVI to Visit the Principality of Monaco in 2012

The French newspaper, Nice-Matin, is reporting that His Holiness Pope Benedict XVI will visit the Principality of Monaco sometime in 2012.  Now the Riviera Times has picked up on the story though they remain skeptical.

Per the Riviera Times:

Although the date that the religious leader will land in the Principality is still not officially set in stone yet, Archbishop Bernard César Barsi has revealed that he will celebrate a Catholic Solemn Mass in the Stade Louis II. It’s estimated that around 22,000 faithful followers will fill the stadium to worship with and to see in person the German-born head of the Catholic Church.

Ahead of this mass, it is planned for the Bishop of Rome, to pay a visit to the palace, the official residence of the Prince of Monaco, and to then join local cardinals at the Principality’s cathedral.

Charlene Wittstock, the Future Princess of Monaco, on the Cover of Point De Vue

On the latest issue of the French magazine, Point de Vue, is the future Princess of Monaco, Charlene Wittstock, looking lovely in a long dress and her hair in a delicate ballerina bun.

The image of Miss Wittstock on the cover was taken at the when she was in South Africa to participate in the famous Midmar Mile Race as well as to raise money for the Special Olympics.  In the magazine there is a nice article about Charlene according to several French royal watchers.  If you happen to run across Point de Vue magazine at your local newsstand, read it or buy it.

HSH Prince Albert II of Monaco Attends the Grand Opening of the Art of Olympians Museum

Yesterday, March 5, 2011, HSH Prince Albert II of Monaco attended the grand opening of the Art of Olympians museum in Fort Myers, Florida.  This black tie event brought out some of the world’s most famous athletes as well as local politicians.  Noticeably absent from Prince Albert’s side, his fiancée, Charlene Wittstock.  It is unknown why she did not accompany her fiancé to Florida; however, I am going to assume that she is back home in Monaco prepping for their upcoming wedding in July.

Charlene Wittstock in Gstaad, Switzerland Sans HSH Prince Albert II of Monaco

On March 1, 2011, the future Princess of Monaco, Charlene Wittstock, enjoyed the afternoon on the slopes in Gstaad, Switzerland with her friends.  Meanwhile, HSH Prince Albert II of Monaco was no where to be found.  Why?  He was on his way back to sunny Monaco to prepare for his upcoming trip to Fort Myers, Florida.  So what’s the upcoming trip all about for the Prince?  Well, it’s a semi-important gig that no one cares about called The Art of the Olympians (I mentioned it about a month ago which you can read here.)  But, that doesn’t matter.

🙂

Moving on, Charlene and her friends continued to enjoy themselves in the snow as well as partaking in a cozy carriage ride (poor horse.)  It is unknown, as usual, how long the happy future Princess of Monaco will stay in Gstaad, but one thing is for sure… she’ll be back in Monaco or South Africa sooner than you think.

Now, I have to say this because it is so sad.  It seems that there are a small group of people who say that Charlene is hamming it up/attention whoring it for the cameras whilst in Gstaad, but I disagree.  I see a normal woman having fun like any other sane person on planet Earth.  I mean, who wouldn’t?  She’s on vacation with friends, FFS, whilst being photographed by the paparazzi.

HSH Prince Albert of Monaco and Charlene Wittstock in Gstaad, Switzerland

With only months to go before their princely wedding in Monaco, HSH Prince Albert II and his lovely fiancée, Charlene Wittstock, enjoyed a quick getaway in beautiful Gstaad, Switzerland.

The couple, along with their friends, enjoyed a day on the slopes this past February 26, 2011.  It is unknown how long they will stay in Gstaad, but one thing is for sure… they looked as if they were having fun and Charlene remains better than you while doing so.

A Documentary About Charlene Wittstock and Miss Catherine Middleton

There is a semi-new documentary about the future Princess of Monaco, Charlene Wittstock, and the future Queen of England, Catherine Middleton, that perhaps some of you have may never seen.

La Monarchie: Le Fabuleux Destin de Kate et Charlene recently aired on French television and now it is available on Daily Motion. Unfortunately, the French commentator, Stéphane Bern (yeah, he’s a total tool, a wannabe Historian, and a brown noser from Hell), is apart of the series.  Barf.  Any way, please click the link to watch: Part One (begins at the 4:24 mark) and Part Two

The series is quite interesting so enjoy!   🙂

Also, there is a nice radio interview with Charlene Wittstock from Talk Radio 702.co.za (South Africa).  Click to listen:  Interview with Charlene Wittstock

HSH Prince Albert of Monaco in Königssee, Germany

On February 20, 2011, HSH Prince Albert II of Monaco was in Königssee, Germany to watch the Men’s Bobsleigh World Championship.  The Prince was all gung-ho about the race that one could feel that he was jealous that he wasn’t participating in the event.

Any who, after the race was over he took several photos with the winners and losers  and spoke to the press.

How lovely.
