H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco Meets with Various Officials and Remains Bored While Doing So

Hot off his trip to sexy Brazil, on May 10, 2011, H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco had an arduous and otherwise boring day filled with official duties.

So what did he do? Well, he met with three VIP officials, from around the world, whereupon each of them presented the prince with letters of credence at the Palais Princier de Monaco.

First, he met with Kornelios Korneliou from Cyprus.  Then, he met with Francisco Galindo Velez from El Salvador. And, finally he met with Michel Robitalle, Quebec’s Delegate General.

After meeting with each of these VIP men, there was boring small talk and smiles for the press.  Then H.S.H. Prince Albert invited each of the men — separately — into the palais’ drawing-room where each man had a one-on-one discussion about important matters… like who they believe will be the Eurovision 2011 winner.

I’m kidding.  They most likely discussed economic and bilateral relations.

The purpose for H.R.H. Princess Caroline attending this event was to judge the floral competition.  Every year, the Monaco Garden Club, organizes this competition which allows relative amateur floral designers from “… 100 to 150 distant countries…” a chance to showcase their talents to the world. Moreover, every year there is a theme in which all participants must adhere to.  This year’s theme:  South Africa.

The Monaco Princely Wedding: New Information

For the past several months there were rumors swirling around South Africa and Monaco that H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco and his fiancée, Charlene Wittstock, will have a “second” wedding in Durban, South Africa.

Well, those rumors are true.

According to the Times Live newspaper, the princely couple will indeed celebrate their nuptials for a second time.  The event will be held at the “… Oyster Box Hotel in Umhlanga Rocks on July 7, 2011…” just five days after their lavish civil as well as religious ceremony in Monaco.

Wayne Coetser, a spokesperson for the Oyster Box Hotel, recently spoke to Times Live journalist, Brett Horner, whereupon he noted:

‘It’s a lavish affair, with a menu that will feature some South African delicacies,’ said Coetser, adding that only the best champagne would be served to complement the bespoke menu by executive chef Kevin Joseph.  ‘We’re keeping everything under wraps, but I can say it will be a luxurious affair…’

However, the celebrations will not include another religious ceremony; rather, the couple opted to invite 200 of their dearest friends for a mega food fest.  There are also speculations that the new princely couple will honeymoon somewhere in Africa… Kenya perhaps.

Finally, it is still unknown if the two-day civil and religious ceremony, that will take place on July 1 and 2, 2011, will be broadcasted by the major cable networks in the United States (i.e. CNN, MSNBC, etc.)  Nonetheless, as I previously reported those who subscribe to TV5 Monde may be able to view the wedding on their television sets in the United States. Also, France2 will stream the wedding online (only to those living in France) along with Monaco Info de Ligne.  For those living in Germany, the wedding will be available to watch via ZDF.

H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco Visits Sao Paulo, Brazil

On May 3, 2011, H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco flew São Paulo, Brazil for an official three-day visit to the hot and sexy country.  The purpose of this trip is to met with local dignitaries as well as to open the photo exhibit at the Museu de Arte Brasileria entitled, The Grace Kelly Years, Princess of Monaco.

According to the site, Mutual Art, the exhibit was:

Curated by Frédéric Mitterrand, the current French minister of Culture, the exhibition was originally created in 2007 by the Grimaldi Forum, and brings together some 900 objects revisiting the life of the star who won the heart of Hollywood, the Principality of Monaco and its royalty. Among them are photographs, films, clothes, jewelry, accessories, paintingsletters to or from friends such as Queen Elizabeth, Greta Garbo, Frank Sinatra, Alfred Hitchcock, and Jacqueline Kennedy, all conserved and organized by the Palace of the Principality.

Visitors will have an opportunity to see mementos of her childhood and youth in Philadelphia, her successful career as an actress, her marriage to Prince Rainier III and her destiny as a princess. In addition, visitors will able to learn more about the devoted mother, caring friend, patron of the arts, chair of Monaco’s Red Cross, and champion of many humanitarian causes.

If you happen to live or will be visiting São Paulo, Brazil, the photo exhibit will run through July 11, 2011.  Admission is free.

Meanwhile, the prince also met with the São Paulo Football Club at their training center this past Tuesday. Here Prince Albert displayed his amazing skills at kicking a ball for all the world to see as well as for the director of the São Paulo Football Club, Joao Paulo de Jesus Lopez, coach Paulo Cesar Carpegiani, and the entire football team.

They were impressed.

Then on May 4, 2011, the prince met with São Paulo’s governor, Geraldo Alckmin, whereupon he gave the sport loving prince of Monaco a gift.  I have no idea what the hell he gave Prince Albert, but I’m sure it was nice, expensive, and completely useless. Nonetheless, it was a nice gesture.

“The Future Princess of Monaco is Impeccable and Perfect!” Proclaims Famous Fashion Designer Karl Lagerfeld. Oh Boy…

Hot off from the British royal wedding this past April 29, 2011, famous fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld has officially proclaimed, on the television network France2, that Charlene Wittstock is “…impeccable and perfect!”

According to the French newspaper, Nice-Matin, Mr. Lagerfeld is in love with Charlene’s sense of style and grace (no pun intended.)  For him, she is the ultimate up and coming fashionista.

Uh, okay… he pretty much says that about everyone.  Then days later he changes his mind.

He’s elderly so he can get away with saying such things.

Nonetheless, I will say that Miss Wittstock looked quite lovely at the royal wedding as well as at the pre-wedding reception in London hosted by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. But, I don’t agree with Mr. Lagerfeld’s comments.  Sure Charlene has her moments when she looks fantastic, but there are other times when she looks like a hot mess.

There I said it.  She’s not perfect.
