Her Serene Highness Princess Charlene of Monaco Visits Various Humanitarian Organizations in Shanghai, China (VIDEO)

Recently, Her Serene Highness Princess Charlene of Monaco visited Shanghai, China as global ambassador for the Special Olympics.  Besides visiting a new facility, alongside Yao Ming, that supports youths with disabilities, the princess also had a chance to meet with  representatives from various humanitarian associations in China.

Random Royal News Regarding His Royal Highness Prince Philippe of Belgium and Their Serene Highness Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene of Monaco (VIDEO)

His Royal Highness Prince Philippe of Belgium presented grants from the Lauréat du Fonds Prince Albert on March 20, 2012, to several Belgian professionals.  The presentation was held at the Federation of Enterprises of Belgium in Brussels.

The purpose of the Lauréat du Fonds Prince Albert is to help talented Belgian professionals build experience in the operation of an international project, by financially supporting recipients for a 12-month business project outside Western Europe for a Belgian company or whose headquarters are in Belgium.  Did that make sense?   🙂  Good.

Meanwhile in Monaco, Their Serene Highness Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene inaugurated a new daycare center in Monte-Carlo.  The princely couple were accompanied by the mayor of Monaco, Mr. Georges Marsan, and the Minister of State, Mr. Michel Roger.

His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco Attends the Inauguration of the Centre de Secours de Fontvieille and More


His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco attended the inauguration of the Centre de Secours de Fontvieille on March 19, 2012.  The sovereign prince was accompanied by Colonel Luc Fringant, the Chamberlain and Senior Commander of the Public Force.

Afterward, Prince Albert II participated in the Medal of Courage and Dedication ceremony alongside Mr. Hugues Moret, the Ambassador of France in Monaco.  Today’s ceremony, held at the barracks of Fontvielle,  honored eleven firefighters from Monaco who helped “… the earthquake victims after the disaster of Fukushima in Japan in March 2011…”

Also, during today’s ceremony a lovely plaque was unveiled in front of the Centre de Secours de Fontvieille.  And, that’s it.   🙂

His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco Celebrates St. Patrick’s Day

This evening in Monaco, His Serene Highness Prince Albert II celebrated St. Patrick’s Day with Ireland’s ambassador to France and Monaco, Mr. Paul Kavanagh.

The façade of the Palais Princier de Monaco glowed in green as the sovereign prince and the ambassador posed for photos.  During today’s festivities Prince Albert and his guests attended an Irish Harp concert, organized by the Princess Grace Irish Library,  held at the Chapelle de la Visitation.

His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco to Inaugurate the Centre de Secours de Fontvieille. Plus, Other News.

On March 19, 2012, His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco will inaugurate the Centre de Secours de Fontvieille.  The sovereign prince will be accompanied by Colonel Luc Fringant, the Chamberlain and Senior Commander of the Public Force.

Afterward, Prince Albert II will tour the center and participate in a medal ceremony alongside the ambassador of France in Monaco, Mr. Hugues Moret.

Mr. Moret will present “…medals for acts of courage and dedication to eleven firefighters from the Principality who travelled to the Japan after the March 11, 2011 disaster.”

Meanwhile, Prince Albert II and Her Royal Highness Princess Caroline of Hanover were at the Chapiteau de Fontvieille to attend the 75th Bazaar in “…aid of the work of Sister Marie…” on March 16, 2012.

Random Royal News Regarding His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco

On March 17, 2012, His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco will attend an Irish Harp concert, organized by the Princess Grace Irish Library, held at the Chapelle de la Visitation.  The purpose of the concert is to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day as well as to honor the sovereign prince’s Irish ancestry.

Prince Albert will also light up the facade of the Palais Princier de Monaco in green, a symbolic color marking the St. Patrick’s Day festivities according to the princely court of Monaco.  The Irish ambassador to France and Monaco will be a special guest during Saturday’s celebrations.

Meanwhile, it was announced that British singer, Pete Doherty, will headline the March 24, 2012, Bal de la Rose (Rose Ball) to be held at the Salle des Étoiles, Sporting Monte Carlo.  The theme for this year’s event, that will benefit the Princess Grace Foundation, Swinging London.
