His Royal Highness Grand Duke Henri of Luxembourg Visits the Exhibition, Hitchcock: The Brand.

On Thursday, March 17, 2022, His Royal Highness Grand Duke Henri of Luxembourg arrived at the Cercle Cité in Luxembourg City to view the exhibition, Hitchcock: The Brand.

The exhibition centers around the brand that the late filmmaker, Alfred Hitchcock, created throughout since the beginning of his legendary career:

“As part of this exhibition, we attempt to analyze and illustrate the deliberate and extremely calculated fabrication of this “brand”, this universal public and highly lucrative image. He used a multitude of methods and systems that enabled him to establish a powerful, original, and effective brand image on par with his ambitions.

This exhibition unveils the private collection of Paul Lesch, a great enthusiast of the world of Alfred Hitchcock.”

HRH Grand Duke Henri of Luxembourg Visits a Reception Center for Ukrainian Refugees in Kirchberg

On Thursday, March 17, 2022, His Royal Highness Grand Duke Henri of Luxembourg accompanied by the Minister for Immigration and Asylum, Mr. Jean Asselborn, the Mayor of Luxembourg City, Mrs. Lydie Polfer, visited the SHUK Emergency Accommodation Structure and Reception Center in Kirchberg.

The SHUK reception center was established by the Government of Luxembourg to help those fleeing Ukraine due to the war. At this time the reception center holds 250 beds. Pets are also welcomed “…[there is a] special area for them. The Administration of Veterinary Services will regularly visit the emergency accommodation structure to support the regularization of the animals...” according to the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs in Luxembourg.

During today’s visit, His Royal Highness Grand Duke Henri met with SHUK officials and toured the center. The Grand Duke also spent time meeting with various Ukrainian refugees who “…shared with him their experiences of war and exile… [he] comforted them by confirming the empathy of all the people of Luxembourg…” notes the Cour Grand-Ducale.

HRH Hereditary Grand Duke Guillaume of Luxembourg Visits a Post-Production Sound and Movie Studio in Bettembourg

On the morning of Wednesday, March 16, 2022, His Royal Highness Hereditary Grand Duke Guillaume of Luxembourg visited the post-production sound and movie studio, Philophon, in Bettembourg.

Established in 2004, Philophon Studios specializes in feature films and offers “…both qualified staff and the infrastructure necessary for the development of soundtracks for any audiovisual project…” according to a press release. The studio has seven sound editing rooms and two sound mixing rooms all equipped with the latest technologies “…capable of producing soundtracks in all formats including Dolby Atmos…”

During today’s visit, organized by the Chamber of Trades, His Royal Highness Hereditary Grand Duke Guillaume was given a tour of the studio where he learned about sound mixing, recording, and much more.

HRH Hereditary Grand Duke Guillaume of Luxembourg Visits Luxinnovation in Belval.

On Monday, March 14, 2022, His Royal Highness Hereditary Grand Duke Guillaume of Luxembourg visited Luxinnovation in Belval. Luxinnovation is an:

“…Innovation Agency, [which] empowers companies to innovate today to be ready for tomorrow and contributes to the development of the economy as a whole by identifying innovation opportunities and fostering collaborative innovation projects that stimulate the development of a sustainable, competitive, and digital economy.”

Since 1984, Luxinnovation has provided assistance to Luxembourg’s government economic strategy by stimulating the innovation of Luxembourg companies and organizations on a national and international scale. The agency also plays an important role in promoting the country as an entry point for international firms wishing to invest and innovate in Luxembourg.

During today’s visit, the Luxinnovation team presented its “…2022–2025 roadmap with the desire to prepare the national economy for digital transformation and sustainable development, in accordance with the government strategy…” according to a press release via the Cour Grand-Ducale.

TRHs Grand Duke Henri and Grand Duchess Maria Teresa of Luxembourg Meet with Ukrainian Refugees.

On Wednesday, March 9, 2022, Their Royal Highnesses Grand Duke Henri and Grand Duchess Maria Teresa of Luxembourg met with Ukrainian refugees, Iryna and her son, Yaroslav, at the Palais Grand-Ducal in Luxembourg City, Luxembourg.

According to the Cour Grand-Ducale during the meeting Iryna told her story of how she and her son fled Ukraine due to the ongoing conflict:

“…[Iryna and Yaroslav] boarded a crowded train which took them to the Hungarian border. [On the train there was an] Ukrainian woman who resides in Luxembourg who was returning home. Together, with three other compatriots, they reached Bratislava from where they flew to Charleroi thanks to the generosity of Luxembourg friends. From there, a car was waiting to take them back to the Grand Duchy.

During the meeting, Mrs. Anna Dolya, a representative from the LUkraine Association and Mr. Claude Radoux, Honorary Consul of Ukraine in Luxembourg gave an update on the situation in Ukraine. Faced with a humanitarian emergency, the Grand-Ducal Couple praised the enormous work and efforts of the associations mobilized in unison, without forgetting the numerous citizen actions of solidarity with the Ukrainians.”

TRHs Grand Duke Henri and Grand Duchess Maria Teresa of Luxembourg Host a Dinner at Château de Berg

On March 7, 2022, Their Royal Highnesses Grand Duke Henri and Grand Duchess Maria Teresa of Luxembourg accompanied by Their Royal Highnesses Hereditary Grand Duke Guillaume and Hereditary Grand Duchess Stephanie of Luxembourg hosted a dinner for members of the Luxembourg government at Château de Berg.

On the evening of Monday, March 7, 2022, Her Royal Highness Grand Duchess Maria Teresa of Luxembourg, as the UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador, participated in the virtual conference, Femina Vox: Faire Entendre la Voix des Femmes.

The event was hosted and organized by Ms. Guila Clara Kessous, Professor and Researcher at Harvard University, UNESCO Artist for Peace, and Ambassador for Peace of the Universal Circle of Ambassadors for Peace (Geneva).

Femina Vox was also held under the high patronage of the UNESCO and the Sorbonne Université.
