Random Royal News Regarding Her Royal Highness Princess Maxima of the Netherlands and Princess Clotilde of Venice and Piedmont

Meanwhile, on January 25, 2012, Princess Clothilde of Venice and Piedmont attended the 2012 Valentino Spring/Summer Haute Couture show held at the Hôtel Salomon de Rothschild.

Her Majesty Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands, T.R.H.s Prince Willem-Alexander of Oranje and Princess Maxima of the Netherlands in Den Haag

On January 25, 2012, Her Majesty Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands along with Their Royal Highnesses Prince Willem-Alexander of Oranje and Princess Maxima of the Netherlands were in Den Haag to attend an extraordinary meeting and farewell ceremony to Mr. Herman Tjeenk Willink, Vice-President (Viceroy) of the Council of State.  Also in attendance were Prime Minister Mark Rutte as well as other top government officials.

For his 15 years of service, as Her Majesty’s main government advsior, Mr. Tjeenk Willink received the Knight Grand Cross of the Order of Orange-Nassau by the Queen.

Her Royal Highness Princess Maxima of the Netherlands Attends the 50th Anniversary Gala Dinner for the American Chamber of Commerce in the Netherlands

Her Royal Highness Princess Maxima of the Netherlands was at the City Hall of Den Haag Atrium last night to attend the 50th anniversary of the American Chamber of Commerce in the  Netherlands. Also in attendance were Mr. Mark Rutte, Prime Minister of the Netherlands as well as local dignitaries.

According to the official site for the American Chamber of Commerce in the Netherlands was established in 1961 and is:

…a non-profit, non-governmental, non-political, voluntary organization of companies and individuals who invest in and trade between the United States of America and the Netherlands.

The Chamber seeks to further the development of commerce between the United States of America and the Netherlands. AmCham Netherlands encourages and facilitates the transaction of business between both countries and promotes the interests of its members in matters of trade and investment. source

Their Royal Highnesses Prince Willem-Alexander of Oranje, Princess Maxima of the Netherlands and Family Attend the 53rd Edition International Concours Hippique Jumping Amsterdam (VIDEO)

On January 21, 2012, Their Royal Highnesses Prince Willem-Alexander of Oranje, Princess Maxima of the Netherlands and their three girls attended the 53rd Edition International Concours Hippique Jumping Amsterdam. 

This world-famous event brings out the best of the best of equestrian riders.  During the event the royal family watched “…talented up-and-coming riders compete in the Amsterdam Team Challenge and the Reem Acra FEI World Cup Dressage Grand Prix…”

Her Majesty Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands Attends the Premiere of the New Musical,’De Nieuwe IJstijd’ in Rotterdam

Her Majesty Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands attended the premiere of the new musical, De Nieuwe IJstijd (The New Ice Age), held at Luxor Theater in Rotterdam on January 21, 2012.

The musical is based on the 1947 story entitled, Tom Poes en de Nieuwe Ijstijd (Tom Puss and the New Ice Age), by the late Dutch writer and cartoonist, Marten Toonder.

Her Royal Highness Princess Maxima of the Netherlands Visits Stiching Wilskracht. Plus, Other News (VIDEOS)

On January 19, 2012, Her Royal Highness Princess Maxima of the Netherlands was in Reuver visiting the volunteer organization, Stiching Wilskracht, to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the crisis shelter for women, Hotel de Botel.

Earlier, the princess was in Landgraaf where she visited a school participating in Klinkend Perspectief, a project that encourages the youth to play music.  Upon her arrival she was greeted by the school’s officials as well as faculty.  Once inside Princess Maxima visited the music classroom where she was given a mini-concert by the students of the school.
