News Regarding Her Majesty Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands. (VIDEO)

On November 2, 2012, Her Majesty Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands received a:

“… publication regarding the excavation results of the pre-historic burial mounds in the  crown estates at Paleis Huis Ten Bosch. The publication was developed under the direction of archaeologist Dr. David Fontijn of Leiden University, in collaboration with the Municipality of Apeldoorn and the National Heritage Board.”

And, finally, Her Majesty attended the symposium, The North Sea: Past, Present and Future, in Amsterdam according to the Dutch online newspaper, AT5.

On November 1, 2012, Her Royal Highness Princess Maxima of the Netherlands was at the Zonnewijzer School in Leidschendam to participate in the 10th National School Breakfast.  Click here to watch a video.

And, finally, this afternoon the princess attended the Samenwerken aan Internationale Voedselstabiliteit conference held at the Ridderzaal (Hall of Knights) in Den Haag.

 

Her Majesty Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands Officially Opens the Cultuur Kwartier Sneek. (VIDEO)

On Thursday, November 1, 2012, Her Majesty Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands officially opened the newly restored Cultuur Kwartier Sneek in the “… historic city center of Sneek.”

According to RVD, the Cultuur Kwartier Sneek consists of an art center,  music venue, and a new theater designed by Dutch architect, Mr. Max van Huut.

His Royal Highness Prince Willem-Alexander of Oranje Opens the Sarcoidosis Center.

On Wednesday, October 31, 2012, His Royal HIghness Prince Willem-Alexander of Oranje opened the new Sarcoidosis Center at the Erasmus Medical Center in Rotterdam.

“Sarcoidosis is a disease in which abnormal collections of chronic inflammatory cells form as nodules in multiple organs. The cause of sarcoidosis is unknown. The inflammatory cells that appear are usually not of the necrotizing variety and are most often located in the lungs or the lymph nodes but virtually any organ can be affected. Normally, the onset is gradual. Most patients heal spontaneously within a few years.”
