News Regarding Her Majesty Queen Maxima of the Netherlands. (VIDEO)

Princess Maxima 2011On the morning of Tuesday, March 18, 2014, Her Majesty Queen Maxima of the Netherlands arrived at Tilburg University to attend a meeting on Social Innovation.

Thereafter, Her Majesty arrived at the Het Laar elderly center in Tilburg to visit the project, Prins Heerlijk, according to the photo news agency, PPE.

His Majesty King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands Opens the Rotterdam Centraal. (VIDEOS)

On March 13, 2014, His Majesty King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands officially opened the new Rotterdam Centraal (Rotterdam Central Station).

According to RVD, the new central station is:

“…the first in a series of new and larger stations in the Netherlands, which are part of the largest railway station and innovation since the creation of the Dutch railways, 175 years ago. 

The new station is more spacious, which is enhanced by a large glass window with direct views of the city. The roof above the tracks is made of glass. The station has a walkway that connects the 16 tracks and a new passenger passage of almost 50 meters wide.”

Her Majesty Queen Maxima of the Netherlands Opens the 4th Edition of Nationale Week van het Geld. (VIDEO)

maximaOn Monday, March 10, 2014, Her Majesty Queen Maxima of the Netherlands arrived at the Nederlands Instituut voor Beeld en Geluid in Hilversum to officially open the 4th Edition of Nationale Week van het Geld.

According to RVD, Nationale Week van het Geld teaches the “…youth how to handle and save money…”

HM King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands Opens the Sportcomplex in Hoofddrorp.

willOn Friday, March 7, 2014, His Majesty King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands officially opened the Sportcomplex Koning Willem-Alexander in Hoofddorp.

According to RVD, the new Sportcomplex:

“…offers space for two competition pools, a recreational pool, a sports hall and a turn center.  The complex is designed for both amateur and professional athletes. Thus, the accommodation is specifically designed for sports gymnastics, rhythmic gymnastics, synchronized swimming and racing. 

The facilities offer talented young athletes and potential athletes opportunities to optimally prepare national sporting events. By the supply and design of the sports can also serve as a venue for national championships.”

His Majesty King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands Opens the Newly Renovated Hollands Kaasmuseum. (VIDEO)

On the afternoon of Thursday, March 6, 2014, His Majesty King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands officially reopened the newly renovated Hollands Kaasmuseum (Dutch Cheese Museum) in Alkmaar.

Originally opened in 1983 the Hollands Kaasmuseum displays the “…history of manufacturing of cheese and dairy products through historical objects and audiovisual equipment…” according to RVD.
