HRH Princess Marie of Denmark Opens an Exhibition in Kolding.

On September 3, 2015, Her Royal Highness Princess Marie of Denmark opened the exhibition, Georg Jensen: Et Eventyr i Dansk Sølv (Georg Jensen: A Tale of Danish Silver), held at the Museet på Koldinghus in Kolding.

Held on the occasion of the 150th anniversary of the birth of the late Georg Jensen this special exhibition takes visitors on a:

“… journey through the stylistic periods, which is presented through pieces of Georg Jensen himself and the many talented designers who has been affiliated with smithies from the beginning and to the present.  [The exhibition] opens with an impressive selection of the masters own beautiful jewellery with flora and fauna motives and the hammered hollowware with vigorous decorations.”

Her Royal Highness Crown Princess Mary of Denmark Attends an Event at the Guldberg Skole.

On Tuesday, August 25, 2015, Her Royal Highness Crown Princess Mary of Denmark attended the Kærlig Talt (Loving Action) event held at the Guldberg Skole in Copenhagen.

An initiative of the Mary Fonden, Kærlig Talt is a:

“…a course for the nation’s students at secondary school age. The ambition is to develop young people’s abilities to cope with difficult emotions so they can better maintain secure healthy relationships with each other, and then at a later stage in life are equipped to help avoid dating violence or other forms of violent relationships. 

The purpose of Loving Action is to develop students’ ability to create positive and safe relationships, deal with difficult emotions individually and with each other, prevent dating violence and destructive conflicts, develop communication skills so that they learn to communicate appropriately and constructively, understand what can lead to violence in intimate relationships, explore non-violent practices, and to seek help if violence still occurs.”

On the afternoon of Friday, July 24, 2015, Her Majesty Queen Margrethe II and HRH Prince Henrik of Denmark accompanied by Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary of Denmark along with their four children, Her Highness Princess Alexandra of Sayn-Wittgenstein-Berleburg and Count Jefferson von Pfeil und Klein-Ellguth along with their two children witnessed the changing of the guard at Gråsten Slot in southern Denmark.

News Regarding The Crown Prince Couple of Denmark.

On the morning of Sunday, July 19, 2015, Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary of Denmark accompanied by their four children — Prince Christen, Princess Isabella, Prince Vincent and Princess Josephine — and His Highness Prince Gustav of Sayn-Wittgenstein-Berleburg and his longtime partner, Miss Carina Axelsson, received 300 riders from the Gråsten Ringriderforenings at Gråsten Slot.

According to the Danish royal court, the Gråsten Ringriderforenings:

“…takes place every year on the third weekend in July and is a celebration that lasts for several days with events throughout the town. After the procession rides through the town, the riders arrive to the town’s ring riding space, where they compete in the traditional ring jousting competition.”

(VIDEO) HRH Crown Prince Frederik of Denmark Participates in an Open Water Swim Race.

On Saturday, July 4, 2015, His Royal Highness Crown Prince Frederik of Denmark participated in the 2015 Vansbrosimningen in Vansbro, Sweden.

The open water swim race is “…Europe’s largest open water event and [is] a part of the ‘en Svensk Klassiker’.  The 3 kilometers race takes place in the Vanån and Västerdalälven rivers…” according to the Vansbrosimningen official website.

This isn’t the first time the future king of Denmark has participated in a grueling physical race.  On August 18, 2013, Crown Prince Frederik participated in the KMD Ironman Copenhagen which not only included the 3.8 kilometer swim, but also a 180 kilometer cycle as well as a 42.2 kilometer run.
